I like Land, but not as much as the others because it's too star powered. I think that guy was trying to play the part of Romero's "Alpha" zombie like the "similar" part in I Am Legend. IMO he's emphasizing (a bit to zealously for some) to show that zombies can and are learning and able to adapt. Diary and Survival take us back to the beginning of the outbreak. I loved the feel of Diary, it felt fresh till every one else used it LOL!

I still have to see Diary. Though I've been quite hesitant due to all the negative reviews I've come across for it.. even longtime Romero fans I know say it's quite the downgrade for his sort of caliber. Ehh.. I probably just have to go in with the "accept it for what it is" mindset before viewing it I suppose.

Or, just smoke some weed before and during.

Some people are never happy, I personally really liked Diary.

I'm really looking forward to Saturday nights, let me tell you. We have 1 Dead Set left and are still a week behind on the Walking Dead.   This **** almost makes me want to get TV back.

Tonight: Best episode yet. Coincidentally, the first episode that I haven't watched stoned.

I am assuming you're talking about The Walking Dead? If so, yes then I agree.. the show seems to be picking up some much needed momentum. I like how it ended where the dude says, "Now I remember why I started digging those holes."

I actually liked the twist they did with the Mexicans. Instead of just having them be the stereotypical "vatos".

Yeah, I liked that twist as well. It seems the series is only going to get better from there. I am just glad I never followed the comic book though for I bet then my opinion wouldn't be as positive up to this point, lol..

I was really disappointed by the lack of dead-on-living action in the Walking Dead series... Here's hoping next season is better!

Dead Set has more dead action and I think the WD has a strong plot too, so I am enjoying it.  But I have to agree with you, not enough walkers intruding in the story line. We'll see how it goes though in the second season.

I ordered the Dead Set mini-series on DVD from Ebay and I can not wait to watch their 5 episodes all back-to back!!!!

Is Dead Set on any tv channels? I don't think I've heard of it.

I've heard about this myself and read some very pleasant reviews on it which were convincing enough for me to buy this set sometime in the near, near future. I just have to get through this holiday season without going totally broke and come Jan. or maybe Feb. I'll probably purchase this from DiabolikDVD.com or Amazon. In the meantime, do let me know what you think of it, Cari.. after viewing this. Thanks!

It was a free viewing on the IFC channel OnDemand. Under their "Automat". It'll pop up again, if it does I HIGHLY recommend watching. It's fun and it's smart, to be honest I wasn't all that excited about a zombie show centered around England's "Big Brother". I was wrong, dead wrong ;-p

Well, I figured it had to be clever on account of the fact that English film makers were the ones behind this one.. which reminds me, have you ever seen Shaun of the Dead? Nuff said, lol..

And since we're on the whole England tip, though this is NOT a zombie movie whatsoever still I feel it in yours' and every horror fiend's interest to obtain a copy of a movie (made by English film makers of course) called Eden Lake. I won't go into plot details and therefore potentially spoil anything for anyone here but it pretty much centers on the whole Last House on the Left premise, but with a pack of delinquent teenagers who **** with this poor couple something fierce. All I'll say is that it's pretty **** twisted!

You like the English influence, I think you'd like Dog Soldiers. We may've already talked about this flick in this thread, or maybe not. Tob can back me up on this one though, top notch flick all the way around. Strong plot, relatable characters, good FX and very good actors. I like the way they sum up the film too, a soldier movie with werewolves. This movie has one of the best looking werewolves to date IMO, and I'm really critical of movie werewolves.
