OFFLINE | I've read many horror authors, but my favorite 2 are Brian Lumley (the entire Necroscope series was PHENOMENAL!!) and Bentley Little. Although there's a book called "The Scream" by John Skipp and Craig (?) Spector that is perfect for this thread in this forum. It melds sex drugs n rock and roll with a horror story fans are dying to be a part of. I bought it a good 20-25 years ago and haven't re-read it in probably 15. I'll have to give it another go soon here. |

OFFLINE | Oh...you asked me the one question guaranteed a TLDR response !
Harry Keogh is an outcast, from the time he was a child. But as he was growing up Harry Keogh realized he was "special", more "special" than any one could ever imagine. Harry could talk to the dead, he was the one flame in their eternal darkness and as such he became beloved by the Teeming Dead. The Dead may be relegated to the ground, but their conciousnesses continue working on the things they did in life. Architects, mathemeticians, physicists, scientists and Harry learned from them all.
Harry would encounter necromancers (torturers of the dead), Wamphyri, inter-dimensional portals, flesh-vats, flesh-creatures, espionage, serial killers, he would face love, life and death while continuing on his quest. He eventually meets Mobius...and oh the things Mobius shows Harry to do!
And ya know what? I'm not doing this story one god damn bit of justice so instead of a long, rambling TLDR here's the link to brianlumley.com. http://www.brianlumley.com/books/necroscope/ Each sub-set of the series has a link to the Book descriptions. I will say this though, the first book was more spy vs. spy than I've ever liked in my books, but I still read the next 13 novels after it.
I also see I have a 15th to start on asap!! It's called "The Plague Bearer", I'm pretty excited--hell who am I kidding? I can't **** wait!! |

OFFLINE | I have the first several of the Necroscope comic books too I'm such a geek, but it's a great story. That's why I've tried collecting them all in hardcover too. I have yet to get the first 5...but someday I'll have money again and get them! |

OFFLINE | What's geeky about that? If you have a series you enjoy, why not get all you can out of it?
I enjoyed the movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World so much that I'm trying to get the original comic series and the video game...
The American version of Being Human premieres tonite.. I hope it's not a horrible bastardization of the amazing brittish show. I'd wager it will be though... |

OFFLINE | I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya, but you know. This is Hollyweird we're talking about. Bastardizing everything is all they know how to do :-( |
