@ Cari,

Did you really like Diary better than Land of Dead? imo, you can't trade Cholo for anybody. I loved his character.

Land was too...polished and catering lines/shots to the big name actors. Diary has no one famous, no egos and the back to the beginning plot. Now, don't get me wrong, I am not a Land hater by any means, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, just liked the feel of Diary better.

Rob, Mulberry St. is one of the better indie "zombie" flicks that have come out in the last year or so. Also, did I ask you guys yet if you've seen Survival (Forest of the Living Dead). It was actually quite okay.

WOW I'm a dumb ass so this is an edit.

**that is SEVERED (Forest of the Living Dead) not Survival DUH!**

Cari,

I actually went on Amazon.com after you mentioned Mulberry St. and read up about it and yes, it appears quite interesting, even more so considering it takes place in my city, lol..

what's interesting about it is that judging from the synopsis I read the director substitutes rat people in place of zombies which is actually fitting considering how bad our subway system is notoriously infested with them. I'm telling ya, some of them are so huge that from a distance you'd mistake 'em for stray cats, lol..

So I guess the living dead's second favorite food is... horses. Weird.

Hahaha! Everything from '92 still had that '80s feel, clothes, music, movies etc

Rob, you should watch it, it really is pretty decent and it's a very original twist to the 'zombie' genre.

Rory, that was weird, but they had to be trained to do it. What it really did is set the stage for every living thing to be in danger, and adds a bit more of an 'apocalyptic' twist...wild game will be extinct quickly if they're eating animals too. That or we're about to have zombie horses

The dead also eat a horse in The Walking Dead. Just because it was there.

The Walking Dead premiere was pretty awesome. I have to admit though the end where they eat the horse was a bit unsettling for me. Granted it was fake (obviously) but nevertheless I don't like movies where animals get slaughtered. Nevertheless I can't wait for the 2nd episode this coming Sunday!

I sure hope the second episode has more action, or gore, or anything at all to dilute the unwarranted emotional scenes that plagued the premier. I just don't think that **** belongs in horror.

lol.. funny you should say that, Rory for one of the reasons why I enjoyed and even looked forward to the premiere even was due to the fact that it was more inclined to that sorta 'emotional' aspect of which you seem critical of. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for a good disembowelment, dismemberment, and/or head popping scene just like any other horror fan but honestly, lately I feel that the one of the things that's been a detriment to not just the zombie genre but horror in general is the fact that too many film makers make the blood and gore the sole focus of their films rather than allowing more build up of tension/character development, etc. Further with the overwhelming amount of zombie movies coming out out of the wood work lately, it just gets too predictable. Hence, I think I've just grown too desensitized to it all. That's why I like when you have a movie or show that allows you to get drawn in by the characters themselves because should anything happen to them, like getting ripped to pieces for instance, lol.. it becomes more of a 'tragedy' to the viewer (or myself) and makes more sense why one would become so 'horrified' in the first place, if that makes any sense.
