I get very distracted every time I see a hawk or eagle or heron flying when I'm driving around, so it's nice to be able to see them up close via the various webcams that are available.  I've been watching this eagle cam today...the babies are being fed right now.  This nest is local, so the mama and papa eagle are probably some of the very same ones that try to distract me when I'm driving!

I have had this change jar growing for four years.  Since I decided I'm not going to carry it or send it ahead to my next location I went through some of it today.  Pulled out all the dollar coins (35), $100 worth of quarters and $50 in dimes...the rest of it's going to the local library's fund drive tomorrow...didn't count it, guessing somewhere in the neighborhood of $50-60.

I think that's great Keith!

But before you do, check your silver for pre 1964 dates.  Those coins will contain anywhere from 50-90% silver and they'll be worth a whole lot more than their face value.

Silver's going for just shy of $50 an ounce now.

We have saved coins for years and now the price is really up there. I've been thinking of selling everything except from the early 1900's on back. My class ring should do well as it is huge, but I think gold will just keep going higher as we can't change our ways very fast here in the US. We have a hard time paying our debt off or even being able to stay even. Seeing we live in a want, want, want nation and someone else can just pay for it attitude. We subsidise everything and the government paints anyone who has a business and prospers should pay for everyone else. So gold will probably just keep on climbing for years with maybe a dip here and there.

How low can the dollar go? Its breaking record lows almost daily.

What makes my day was the question? Being outside on a sunny bright day and enjoying my yard, woods, and swamp, where everything is still great!!

I cannot imagine sleeping until noon. I always feel like it's a big deal when I sleep until 7:30 or so. Congrats to you.

I'm glad our troops shot the bastard.

God bless our troops.  And God bless America.
