My niece surprised me and sent me a number of CD's in the mail today.  She had transferred a ton of old 8mm family movies onto them.

I've been blown away seeing things and people from long ago, most especially movies that I thought were long gone ... of my daughter's birth and her growing up (RIP).

What made my day ?   The Firm closed at noon for the first time in forever to let us all hit the road home during this blizzard we're having.  It only took me an hour to get home compared to the 2.5 it took me last snowstorm.  I'll bet we close tomorrow 'cause the worst is to hit this evening.  Home with my kidlets ... nice and safe and warm.

I ate a whole 2 foot holiday meat log all by myself! Problem was, a few hours afterward it wasn't setting too well in my stomach and my Glade Plug-in almost caught my carpet on fire. Anywho, at least it warmed up some today. You know it's cold outside when the tellers at the bank are all wearing ski masks! But I'm glad the holidays are all over with now though. You know you've eaten some really bad holiday chub when all your snow angels have skid marks :/
