 OFFLINE | They show a complete callousness and ease of prejudice towards those being spoken about). Considering at the time I was a Special Olympic bowling coach and my team was gearing up for their State Tournaments it was pretty devastating to them. And let me tell youother kids sure as hell let them know what the President thought of them and their accomplisments too. You have more respect than that for ALL Americans when you are the President, and especially when you are speaking publicly.

OFFLINE | People do it, but you only give power to it by feeding it. Quite indifference is usually the best method (for a lot of things in life actually) but what my point is, is that the President of the United States should be held accountable to a higher standard than say, a stand up comic on t.v.. He represents the nation he leads, and once upon a time, that was a rather revered position no matter the R or D behind your name. But I'm stopping before this turns into a soap box. I'm just saying the man personally disgusts me, and I don't trust his judgement (for several reasons). But he most definitely isn't the first President I've felt that way about either. |

In response to your last sentence in that paragraph, I have to say I'm probably one of the very few people who couldn't stand Bill Clinton. Even though people argue that the country amassed a healthy surplus in funds under his presidency I still felt he was nothing more than a hustler and an opportunist who always skirted around the truth... "I tried pot but I didn't inhale"... yeah.. right.. |
