 OFFLINE | This so beats the old Myspace forum. Sorry. But this one has more of an old-school message board feel to it....I don't know if that makes any sense.
But yeah....new Krieg album "The Isolationist" coming out in October, can't **** wait. From the one new Mp3 "All Paths To God" it's sounds like they added a new layer of melody/shoegaze influence to the Beherit/Archgoat/Profanatica sound. |

I know exactly what you mean by the whole 'old school message board' feel because funny enough this whole format takes me back to my old AOL days when I used to be a reg on the black and death metal boards there. Man, that was like '96 - 2003.. wow, just the memories.. knew so many regs from that board and the flame wars were some of the best back then. It's just a shame I never kept in contact with any of them.
Oh, and I am definitely going to keep my eye out on that new Krieg album. I am surprised they got back together considering that the dude who runs that band called it quits right after Blue Miasma. I guess he got the bug to write and record another one then. Should be good though I have to admit the whole shoegaze trend in BM lately is starting to wear a little thin. Maybe that's just me.. hmm.. |

There is an extremely small but noticable hint in the song itself. It starts out with a riff that could easily be heard on any Jesus & Mary Chain/Curve/Lush single and then basically transforms into something off "Blue Miasma" only it sounds a bit jucier and could have fit as a B-side to something off "The Black House" as like a different type of mix. It's different, and doesn't sound the same so at least we don't have to expect Kreig to tread waters so to speak. But it's not luvy-duvy shoegaze in the vein of say...Alcest.
Facebook definitely needs to stick with the old HTML/BBC style messageboard. |
