Thanks   I'll have to dig, but I think I have some cools pics of the "Turkey Hawks" at Letchworth. I can sit and watch them soar around all day; it can really make you envious of flying.

Speaking of really cool birds, I've found around here that getting good pics of them can be difficult unless you're spending all day out on foot. I typically see the best pic opportunities as I'm driving along. But by the time I'm able to stop, position myself and get the cam ready, they fly off   We have this one bird that's a mix between a yellow canary and (don't know the name of it) a similar small bird. They look so cool flying around with their yellow breasts and gray/brown colored wings.

Me too! Sadly, though, new churches being erected around the countrysides aren't being done with such architectural beauty. Most of the newer churches I've seen here look like stick-built ranch houses in a way; not very appealing to the eye, but I guess they serve their purpose otherwise.

This is an old pick taken in 2002 with my first digital camera, a Sony Mavica 1.6Mp. It’s only means of saving pics was to a 3.5” floppy and at it’s highest resolution you could only fit 5 pics per disc, WHAT A PAIN, lol. And it never ceases to amaze me that my current cell phone takes better pics than an old $800 digicam once took.

Anywho, I’ve always had a hobby of driving around the country sides here taking pics of old houses that look like they’re about to crumble. Same with old barns. I think by now this particular house might have collapsed into itself if memory serves. And even though by today’s standards this is a really low-quality pic, I still love ‘clicking’ through them from time to time.

@Becky (can't quote again) LOVE the butterfly pics, too! I didn't fare so well my first time in a butterfly house...it was well over 100 degrees and cramped beyond belief...only got about 3 or 4 good shots. That's great that the zoo has the enclosure - besides a fence and dirty glass ecology center I have only visited the Bronx Zoo - which was also fenced....

Thanks Judi! I know what you mean. Our butterfly house is 85 degrees with 75% humidity year around. So yep, it gets pretty sweaty in there! The zoo has a lot of enclosures, but does have certain areas with fences, & bars too, or glass, but mostly indoors.

You have so many great photo's from in there, that I don't know how you managed to just pick a few to post. I had such a fun time while there too. Maybe I'll have to sort through the hundreds I took in there also...  lol.

Yep, you should!

Shawn...

Cool church pic! I have some of the Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis. Such a gorgeous church! Will post some later of it.

I like the pic of the old house too. I love taking pics of old barns, but they gotta be old!
