I took this one with a point & shoot camera at Silver Lake in Salt Lake City, Utah. What a beautiful place!

This picture, taken last year during a snowfall, isn’t much of a spectacular picture, but having seen this first hand, it still kinda intimidates me some.

This street is on a hillside that’s really very steep and definitely not one you want to drive up in bad weather without having 4-wheel drive and excellent tire treads. Driving down would be terrifying in any vehicle and if you notice, there’s a house straight ahead at the very bottom of the hill. I’ve always thought of that house as a Suicide Motel with as many times as it’s been run into by vehicles unable to make the stop at the bottom of the hill.

This was taken on the nature trail at Stony Brook State Park. This waterfall is pretty cool to stand near on a hot day because it creates a lot of cool wind. But like many nature trails, there’s a LOT of stair-climbing here! Definitely a work out!

Thanks

The following are from Letchworth State Park:

Letchworth Gorge:

This is a pic of the Gorge from the Portage Bridge which replaced the largest wooden bridge in the world. Built in 1852. 300 acres of timber used in construction. Burned in 1875.

This is looking down from the Portage Bridge. This pic from my old Digicam just doesn't do it justice. It's so high that when you drop a rock, it looks like it's gunna splash in the river, and then it doesn't, and doesn't, and doesn't, and doesn't.... Anywho, I apologize that I don't have a better picture of this really cool looking structure.

One thing I love about this area is how the surrounding countryside looks covered in snow. There are evergreens all over the area and I think they look so cool snow-covered. This pic was taken a year ago, but we're having a heavier snowfall today making it rather dangerous to come back to this particular place until they roads are a bit safer to travel.

I agree, Becky! I enjoy looking at other peoples photos( especially yours! The Silver Lake photo is just awesome!!!!)....these are all wonderful!  The St. Louis Zoo looks like a great place to get some fantastic shots! Did you take that with a zoom or did you crop it? Was there even a fence or glass around it?
Bob, would also love to visit that mill, nice shot!!!
Mary, my fave is the water....I love shots like that!
