Well let me say I am very proud of you northerners to at least try to stand up for your rights, here in miami ppl just get raped and like it, there was a rally a year ago for the unfair property taxes and taxes to build  billion dollar bridge to island only for the rich and yes it passed but only me and maybe 5 more ppl showed up, was more news crew than ppl lol, what ever happened to the home of the brave? it sure aint here in miami, its come of the scammers and cowards

Update: yes this scumbag was ousted yesterday, fk atleast ppl voted against him, maybe the ppl are getting tired of the ****, i went filed pettition agaist him to get him outsed so it would be in the ballots, and cool now hes gone, very evil man, this is the guy that ran the miami police in the 80s/90s when cops were more like a real bad mafia, he went from police chief in miami to county mayor, currupted the county police there too, a once good department for a police department, they dint fk wif you unless you really did something wrong unlike miami police which was just a sob

The way I see it, something's gotta give eventually. While yeah, we're getting **** over left and right with each passing day thus rendering the middle class and lower more powerless each and every day still, the more restless the nation's affairs become the more likely the bubble is going to burst. That said it's only a matter of time before the suits find that the tables have certainly turned against them. Remember while they have more money and influence than all of us combined they can't maintain that wealth without OUR hard labor and taxes that go into their bank accounts and wallets. That said, I guarantee that you will find more and more states rising up and revolting against the govt to the point where our govt won't even know how to curtail it. All it takes is more and more people to set aside their racial, ethnic, cultural differences aside so that we can all unite and take up arms against these cocksuckers. And in case anyone is laughing and rolling their eyes thinking I'm talking out of my ass here well, certainly you remember how powerless the city of Los Angeles was during the LA '92 riots that stemmed from the Rodney King verdict, right? And that was just one **** city involving solely the black community who were the ones rioting and tearing down ****. That **** went on for like two days too which could have been quelled in a matter of an hour. Further with the more liberal media covering things, I highly doubt the cops and armed forces would dare overstep their bounds like they did during the 60s when anti-Vietam war protests occurred because they know the cameras and ultra lib personalities are watching them waiting to put a spin on any violent backlash they commit towards protesters. Just give it some time and I guarantee you things will change. There's only so much our corrupt govt can do to hold us back! Count on it!

I thought that when I was younger and not wise to the ways of the world.
having worked decades both union and nonunion, union is better overall when the company management is full of idiots.
cant say as far as the public unions or the ones back east, they seem to be more problematic.

I'm glad you said this because honestly I have been feeling this very same way since like the second week of Jan. actually. Of course back then you'd think, "wtf?? the new year just barely began" and therefore feel a little silly for taking such a pessimistic stance or whatever but I dunno, just something in the atmosphere alarmed me. I mean a friend of mine's Mom suddenly dies of a massive heart attack just like that.. no signs of her appearing ill or whatever (or at least any that anyone close to her would be aware of) then a good friend of mine who was a beloved public figure and adored by many succumbs to cancer sometime in Feb., that is after dodging the cancer bullet the first time around sometime last year. On top of that, a really good, close buddy of mine informs me last month that his Mom came down with the dreaded "C"  sometime in Feb. but after having surgery recently, hopefully she'll recover and continue to enjoy many more prosperous years.

Then there's the crisis in Egypt, Libya, the economic social/economic unrest here in the United States and the disasters in Japan.. and March hasn't even ended yet. I don't know about the rest of you but thus far this year has me watching my back like never before. Man, I just hope I'm being paranoid and nothing more....

Rick, I'm glad to hear the citizens did something about it, I'll have to read that article for myself toniight.

Rob, it's almost scary how many people are feeling like that will soon be the only option. I guess I'm a sucker and I'm hoping that the People can get their voice heard by the rest the People in other ways than the biased corporate media machines that use spin to distract and divide the People. We're so divided that people forget that a good compromise means that NO ONE is entirely happy, and that middle ground is a good thing. But if enough of us can see past it and get that message out to others, then hopefully we can make the government listen to us by peaceful pressuring methods. Through united boycotts, protests, unslanted information sharing. Which is why the government should also NEVER have an internet killswitch...but that's another issue.

But people on both sides (of any issue actually) just have too hard of a time grasping the other sides viewpoint honestly, without their preconceptions jading their views, and in their retellings of events. But taking the power away from the People is never, ever the answer in America.

Actually, I was stating that to clarify I'm no union mouthpiece   and I say I'll never be, because I opened my own small business and since I'm my only employee...no union.

Cari, I didn't take you for a union person, so I'm glad I asked. Yeah... that damn media. It pisses me off how they're always trying to polarize people on political matters by only emphasizing one inconsequential facet of issues painting it over as entirely a red/blue issue. That's how they keep the American populace from fighting for changes that would result in them losing some of their power.

And this thing about the governor being able to replace any local official who's "under performing" (is it the man's own subjectivity? God, I hope not) is, in my eyes, just a step toward totalitarianism. Like, it's got me thinking we need to get these assholes out of power. Think about what could happen if that legislation were on the federal level.

Jesus, that does sound dystopian.

but dont they kinda control it anyway, you think a company as huge and rich as myspace could possibly fail that bad? with out intervention from big brother/corporate intrests? i followed the fall, to me it was transitioned to facebook in a planned and orderly fashion,

why? forums a great communicator between ppl and any can watch and participate, facebook is more for small circles of groups, i mean you know keeping up with just 10 friends in 10 profiles is a lot so in essence you have 10 ppl in 10 places rather than 1,000,000 in one place, do you see the divide and conquer here? profiles are like mini forums, its a lot to keep up with, add the fact that facebook forums are not public, not a default, keywords here dont really go to google because its a private app, information sharing is vastly depleted

Japan is starting to look like a the game Fallout, and **** Obama is launching missles at Libya. It's getting real hard to stay positive about life in general.

It's because of Unions we aren't still working like they did back in the 1800's. Except now the Fat Cats outsourced all of the jobs overseas where they can get away with doing those practices again.

Yeah, tell me about it man.. my city was better off when we were infamously known as one huge red light district. I mean, despite the rampant excess of hookers, drugs, peep shows, junkies wandering the streets, live **** girl joints, condemned squatter tenements, etc. at least my city had character and the element of danger, not to mention eccentric personalities that took refuge here during the 70's and 80's was what inspired some of the greatest art, music, and literature to ever come out of this city. Today it's nothing but a huge country club for rich Jews whose only sense of danger or rebellion entails leaving the toilet seat up after they've gone to the bathroom, running around the office with a pair of scissors in hand, or having another extra caffeinated latte before dinner.
