OFFLINE | I know it's a dead issue already but seriously they should just legalize it already! It's practically everywhere and so prevalent in our society that even our own damn politicians (most of them anyway) smoke the stuff. |

I'm pretty sure that last part isn't true, cuz if it was, congress would have elected to legalize it by now. But I know how true it is that the **** is popular, it's hard to find anyone anymore who's adamantly opposed to it. |

OFFLINE | Ehh if it was legalized the government would just tax the hell out of it and regulate it like they do everything else. |

OFFLINE | That's why I can't believe the government hasn't legalized and regulated it yet. The war on drugs is an expensive farse, especially with zero tolerance laws (never a good idea for anything!) and three strikes againt pot heads. Pffft. This makes so much sense because they're just so much more dangerous than let's say, a crackhead or a heroin junkie |

OFFLINE | Legalizing Marijuana would be so beneficial, especially in this recession/beginnings of economic collapse. Taxing it and selling at coffee shops in red light districts would make so much **** money. |

OFFLINE | Exactly, the biggest reason I think it should be legalized is for economical reasons. |

Well, I certainly agree that the whole 'war on drugs' is a joke and therefore a losing battle. Keeping it illegal is only going to fuel more drug cartel wars, more violence, etc. yet the only reason the gov't won't legalize it is because actually it's more profitable keeping it illegal than it would be legalizing it and therefore taxing it and earning much needed revenue. The gov't figures that by maintaining a zero tolerance stance to this, it keeps the prosecutors, judges, etc. busy enough to make a lot of money through overtime and such. Further the more prisons get crowded the more they can continue to build more and more like high priced real estate condos. Remember, a lot of the prisons in this country are actually owned by corporate businesses believe it or not, so obviously there's lots of money going around to all involved.. and lastly what better way to get roads paved and trees planted for nearly nothing by having prisoners do it via 'chain gangs'? |

OFFLINE | In 2004 Obama called for "decriminalizing marijauna" and said "the war on drugs is a failure", also marijauna legalization is a basic principle of Ron Paul's Libertine Party.
In California if prop 19, the law lagalizing casual marijauna, would have passed theres a company called marijauna inc. (noshit lookitup) that was ready to sell $40 ounces of primo Cali bud in the produce section of grocery stores, there will be future votes and as California goes so goes the country, just a matter of time. |
