Time is sure going fast now. Letters keep coming and I keep writting everyday. So proud of our Recruit. Can't wait to give my son Forrest a BIG HUG, his brother Hunter misses him and is going to take the ASVAB this week.

Hi Vera,  We live in California also.  So glad that we are able to drive to the graduation, it's about 2 1/2 hours away.  I am looking forward to meeting everybody.  Will you be going to the meet and greet Wednesday night in Old Town San Diego?  I read it on one of the Marine sights I frequent.  28 days and counting!

Hello to all. Our son is in Fox Co. and graduating on May 13th. We tried to interact with other Marine families through the Marine Corps webpage but could not post anything, it wouldn't send us a confirmation for access to the site. Has anyone else had that problem? Also have your letters coming in slowed down and has anyone received a phone call yet? Thanks for your input- Scott Smolik

Nice to hear from another in this Plt.I did have trouble at first with the site for posting but none now. And I haven't received any call yet I did mention in a recent letter to my son to call on my cell it's attached to my hip so I don't miss the call.lol no letters this week I guess this is when letters start to slow down. Keeping the thought as "No news is Good news" My son is Forrest Wwe are so proud of all the recruits.

From what ive seen with previous companies, we should be receiving a call either next week or the week after.. my guess is next week. Of course halfway just because I want the call as soon as possible . My husband said the letters slowed down in Phase 2 because of the amount of work they were doing, but he should get more time in Phase 3 to write. I dont know if that will be true or not. I am so excited!!! Im counting down the days... almost want to count down the hours, make it seem like its going by faster!

I was told expect the call 2 weeks before graduation & unfortunately my fiance just told me this last month they will barely get any time to write He said the DI's are going to be keeping them busy on their square away time.

really? How weird! Well, i guess we are all hoping they get time to write letters .. they are the one thing that keeps me going every week! I wonder if it is different in every platoon.
