Politics and wannabe party representatives!

On the 3/10 episode of The View, Joy Behar quoted Pat Buchanan who supposedly said “When you start laughing at the candidates, which this has become a point of derision against Gingrich, it’s all over for them.”

Elizabeth Hasselbeck immediately responded, “It could be over for the entire Republican Party in this next election. I think maybe they should consider saving their cash and waiting ‘till 2016, if I may so boldly put that out there.” But then, Hasselbeck doesn’t really ‘represent’ the Republican Party, especially so long as she doesn’t bleed blue.

*yes, I came here specifically to complain about that...little teenage and young adult relatives...you try to be caring and they are just vying for attention....there are other ways to get it kiddos

The epidemic of "bullying" ... I know it's a hot topic right now and just hit very close to home once again with a bright, promising, handsome, talented  young man hanging himself in his family home this weekend.  Were there signs ?  Did he cry out for help ?  I'm not sure ...but I am heartsick that another family is going through this.

We all must pay attention to our youth ... it starts at home but it also "takes a village" ... worth the risk of seeming like a busy-body as opposed to seeing a family go through this devastation again.  I know from personal experience.   Kids do not normally have the tools that most adults do to deal with these feelings of helplessness and not belonging ... plus they have raging hormones that add to the "seriousness" of the situation.  

Step in ... maybe you can save a life.

I received the above picture in E-Mail today. What annoys me is the fact that the picture shows a dead WWII soldier with the words "What Do You Do Today For Freedom?", and the person who sent it to me did NOT serve in the military because they were too cowardly to do so and they've always lived a rather pampered lifestyle to say the least. Frankly, I think this poster ought to be pointed right at them :/

Actually, nothing at all. Yesterday was probably the easiest move into the nicest place ever and we are almost done unpacking and organizing. I am a happy girl.

Sorry I missed this. It was wine time, followed by a very early bed time, which is why I am now up at 5:22 in the morning (and have been up for the last hour and a half) . . . now I'm a little annoyed.
