My daughter quit her job this morning. Things weren't going her way.... she took a cut in pay, the hours were bad, her new boss was her ex-boyfriend.... but instead of sticking it out til things got better, she quit. Just when she's moving in a new house. So now what? She can go back as a housekeeper at the hotel and make even less money.  (oh yeah, that's smart). She can't get unemployment (she quit). She no longer gets food stamps (because she owns a house)

And of course she's pissed at me because I told her to quit feeling sorry for herself.... only she can fix this! I'm sure she'll be hitting my dad up for money.... I'm not going to give her a damn dime!!!

There were plenty of times when I was working that I didn't like the hours or the people I worked with or the location I was working in.... but I had my kids to support so I stuck with it. She's got two girls.... she gets no child support from her idiot husband.... what the hell does she think she's going to do?

I'm so mad right now..... grrrrrrr!!!!

I feel your pain girl!  ((hugs))

Morning! Had a great time at the Crab Crack last night.... lot of friends were there!!

One (who is the unofficial mayor of the city) told me not to worry about Randi.... he said they would find her a job! Yay! Nice to be part of a close community where people look out for each other!

Today, going to finish my office..... all but the ceiling, I don't have everything for that. Then I'll start putting the downstairs bathroom back together,

Hoping to get a chance to get out and get some snow pics!

It's amazing how invigorated you feel after a night with friends!

Good morning all....welcome to another week....AND the last day of February....I'm looking forward to "fickle" March...at least the temps and weather heads up and down...instead of always down!!!  Got some fantastic news that my daughter WILL be able to afford a summer learning abroad opportunity in Costa Rica -- in July and August.  We weren't sure at all...since we are partially funding her college and didn't have they money to help lend to her (she was willing to repay us).  Thankfully, my brother is going to lend her 1/2 and her own brother the other half.  Should be a fantastic opportunity..and I know she's relieved, thrilled, and scared to death....all in one!!!

Sylvia....good morning to you -- hoping that you don't float away down there....man...looks like lots of rain coming your way...they're expecting some here too...just not THAT much.

Jann...so sorry to hear about your daughter and her job situation.  I agree with you...she's gonna have to dig herself out of this mess she's made...it's tough love...and hopefully she'll step up and do it.  Sometimes I think "less" is more.  The less we give our kids...the more they appreciate WHAT you give them!  Glad that you're back at the cabin

Scott...what did you do for your weekend?  Did you watch the Academy Awards last night???  I was very happy that Colin Firth and The King's Speech won....it was an excellent film!

Barbara.....I want to take naps all the time.....maybe it IS about getting older....I'd like to think, though, that it's more about wanting to "reserve" our remaining energy!! LOL

Tonya....so glad to hear that your friend Darla is home.....and hoping that you all had fun together yesterday and enjoyed  your lasagna (I know I would have!).

Susan...glad to see you posting...You sure seem to be busier these days...but that's a fantastic thing...we'll share you....but only in limited quantities

Morning everyone.....

Bad news from Texas this morning.... wildfires all over mid-Texas. 10 homes lost in Colorado City (where my son lives!) It's a very small town.... worried sick... the last text I got said that he was packing things up. Haven't been able to get through this morning.....

My daughter explained some of her situstion.... why she quit.... I just wish she had given some notice.... she might get a job at Burger King... sheeshhhh.... hoping my friend comes through with something better....

Bought ready to throw up over this Texas thing.... my worry box is overfilled....

Good Monday Morning!

It's super cold out this Morning...and I'm super tired...(where's that smiley face)...

Will be a busy week at work for me and then running around with my Uncle.  Today is his post-op appt with the Surgeon...not looking forward to this appt.

Mary that is so Great about Erin...I bet she is so excited...what a great opportunity for her.

I babysat over the weekend...he's still sick...going back to the doctor today...but he's always smiling!  He's such a joy to have in my Life!

Outside of some riding, a movie, and the Dali, it was all work for me this weekend.

Didn't watch last night.  Isn't that strange?  It wasn't so many years ago that nobody would mss shows like the Academy Awards ... and Miss America.

Good day everyone ... just finished up the final edit on document I was working on and did the e-file.  No more work ahead of me

I've got plenty of errands to run today ... a run to UPS to get the camera on it's way back to Amazon.com and return a pair of skate shoes I'd ordered for Zack.   Need to run by DSW Warehouse to look at their clearance on boots, I always buy my boots that way ... it's amazing how much $$$ you can save.

It's 28 outside right now but the sunshine makes it feel much warmer !  So will be a great day for running about ... wish I would have planned a lunch date ... Ugh.  Perhaps I should get started on that spring cleaning.

Jann, I read on your profile where your son and his property seem okay for now ... great deal !

Hi all.. hope everyone had a super weekend...  I had a pretty busy weekend.. so wasnt on line much.

Barb, my friend is doing well.. everyone is so glad that she is home. She starts her therapy tomorrow.. I guess they are going into the therapy aggressively.  Will be so nice to hear her talking again. Thank you so much for asking.. How is your uncle?  any word from your mom?
