Happy Mid-Day ALL !

Finished up some freelance work I was doing for an old friend of mine who recently hung his own shingle ... and chatted a bit with a few friends.  A load of laundry is in the washer ... dishes soaking in the sink (my dishwasher conked out a couple months ago).  There's the methodic ting ting ting of sleet hitting the glass of the french doors to my right ... sort of putting me in a trance.  Good thing for the 3rd tankard of coffee ...

This afternoon will be more freelance work ... work on updating my resume.  I really need to plan on starting my spring cleaning ... one room at a time.  Later, when sleet stops, I'm going to paint store to pick out colors for the living room, hall bathroom and my bedroom.  Also look at floor tiles for hall bathroom and for the family room downstairs.  AND chemicals / paints I can use to sand and sort of antique wash the paneling in the family room to lighten it up just a bit.

I'm think of trying a new recipe for dinner.  Large pasta shells stuffed with a ricotta / crab mixture and shrimp in a garlic butter sauce over angel hair.  With a salad, of course.

Depends on the weather Scott... we have tickets to the Crab Crack, but if it's snowing too hard we won't be going....

I'm at the cabin (yay!!!)

My daughter quit her job this morning. Things weren't going her way.... she took a cut in pay, the hours were bad, her new boss was her ex-boyfriend.... but instead of sticking it out til things got better, she quit. Just when she's moving in a new house. So now what? She can go back as a housekeeper at the hotel and make even less money.  (oh yeah, that's smart). She can't get unemployment (she quit). She no longer gets food stamps (because she owns a house)

And of course she's pissed at me because I told her to quit feeling sorry for herself.... only she can fix this! I'm sure she'll be hitting my dad up for money.... I'm not going to give her a damn dime!!!

There were plenty of times when I was working that I didn't like the hours or the people I worked with or the location I was working in.... but I had my kids to support so I stuck with it. She's got two girls.... she gets no child support from her idiot husband.... what the hell does she think she's going to do?

I'm so mad right now..... grrrrrrr!!!!

Morning all....Looks like Old Man Winter is still hanging around.. Calling for up to a foot or more of snow today.  supposed to snow until after 10 PM today.  OH YAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


going to work tomorrow, and help a friend move tomorrow and Monday.. should be fun!!!  Hope everyone else is having some good weather... and everyone have a great weekend!!!

Almost embarrassed to say good morning as it's nearly noon ... I just could not wake back up.  Well, not really as I was awake from 6:00 am to 7:15 am getting Zack off to school despite the overnight snow and horrible street conditions.  I decided the best move to get rid of this headache was to go bad to bed.  I must have really got into it deeply, 'cause before I knew it the dog was breathing on me and fussing to go outside.  Really dislike waking back up like that because, guess what ?   It gives me a headache ... oh well !   this too shall pass.

Have to finish up some online banking and bill paying this morning.   Finish up a document I'm preparing freelance for an attorney friend of mine and then get it e-filed once he's approved it.  Still did not get my resume completed ... bad girl !

I've briefly skimmed the news ... nothing good for the most part ... and more snow forecasted for this evening ... BIG UGH !

Happy Saturday all..

Working til 3:30 then off to help a friend finish moving.  Tomorrow Im going to my friend Darla and Jims.  Going to make lasagna for us all.  Darla is my friend that had the stroke a week ago yesterday.  She is now home, and  doing fantastic.. Unfortunately she needs to regain her speech still, but we are all so lucky that she has come thru this awful ordeal so well.  Its going to be a long road, but I dont know anyone stronger than her.  She will pull through just super... thank you to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and good wishes.  

Hopefully everyone has a great weekend..

Good Saturday Morning!

Been a couple of days since I've been in here...

Just so busy at work and then back and forth with My Uncle...not enough hours to the day!

Then after I get Dinner done and the dishes...sit down to watch TV...I fall asleep!  Is that a sign of OLD AGE?????   lol

Jann sorry to hear about your daughter and her job..that's a tough one for sure.  I'm still handing out money when my my kids (well actually just Jason) Rent is due...I don't want them back home...so what choice do I have?  He pays it back...so all is good!

I have the opposite in my family right now...Got my daughter Michelle and my daughter in law Tara fighting for the same job promotion at their work.  It's down to the 2 of them and Friday was the 7 panel Interview...so someone is gonna be PISSED!  This will be interesting!  

No plans for today...just house stuff...laundry etc.

I need some down time...just to sit and do NOTHING!
