OFFLINE | Good Sunday morning everyone.
What am I doing up so early on a Sunday morning??? Damn cats didn't let me sleep because my daughter forgot to feed them last night so of course they stomped up and down my bed making sure I wake up since my daughter locks her bedroom door.
Smart girl! LOL
Continued prayers and sending comforting hugs to Tonya & Becky.
Nothing new on my end at all.
Today will be cleaning day.
Man it is freaking cold out today too! Still very windy and temps right now only at 22.
We're getting snow tomorrow but not a huge accumulation. Just 1 - 3 inches. That's enough for me!
I have the day off tomorrow so it's a good sleep in day while it's nasty outside.
I hope you all have a good day today.
Hugs everyone! |

 OFFLINE | good morning all..
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.. especially for those that have the long weekend...Im excited to be going to see my friend Darla in the Hospital today.. I was able to talk to her on the phone last night which proved to be a tad bit frustrating as she was really trying to talk to me and right now she cant. It was a double edged sword as that is what she needs to be doing.. trying to talk..and any sound that she can get out is a good thing...so we were very happy because she got a couple of sounds out..Which was great... So her son drew her a picture this morning..he misses her so.. and has a bit of trouble understanding it all. So that is my day.. My siste is going to relieve me here for a few hours.. then I will be back here...got some schoolwork to do..Gonna make something yummy for dinner..not sure what..but I want to make something that is freezeable so that it will be here in the freezer when she gets home.
Becky..Im keeping you in my prayers too, praying for an easy successful surgery for you and a quick pain free recovery.
Barb.. Keeping you in my prayers too.. Hoping your getting some relief with your uncle.
Sylvia.thank you honey..for the warm vibes your sending.
Everyone please have an enjoyable weekend.. and if you love someone..TELL them.. make sure they know it.. |

 OFFLINE | Morning ... afternoon (?) all.
Up late. Slept late. Just got up to a spectacular day.
We're going boating ...
P.S. When it's noon, do you say "afternoon"? It doesn't seem right. But it seems righter than "morning." |

OFFLINE | Good afternoon ALL from Kansas City. It's incredibly windy here today ... right now 67 and we are expecting rain later today and then temps dipping into the 20s again. Looks like a pretty chilly week to come.
I've been out raking the remnants (leaves, sticks) of all the dead stuff from the trees from late last fall and over the winter months ... yuk ! Three bags so far and then Zack came out and said "No, Mom ... you should not be doing this !" and took over. He is very, very protective of me and normally does all the yard work. Such a sweet young man he is, responsible and not afraid to work. My yard needs some serious attention and it looks like I'm probably going to have to pay someone to attempt to resurrect it. Getting all the old crud up is step # 1. Thanks Zack for saving my back !
Need to take a shopping trip out later to look for dresses (1 for Jess and 1 for myself) and shoes for my niece's wedding rehearsal dinner in July in Omaha, Nebraska. Jess is in the wedding so her attire is covered but I still need to find something.
I'm hoping to take my camera along and take some shots to test it out. Although it's a pretty dismal looking day out there ... perhaps not in the mood. We shall see.
What for dinner ? Hmmmmmm ... made some banana muffins this morning. Not really sure if I'll cook ... or we'll go out. Decisions, decisions.
Everyone have a fabulous day ... !!! |

Wow...Monday already? Thank God I have today off...cuz my weekend was consumed with taking care of my Uncle and cooking for him. He looked good yesterday tho....He doesn't know he's got Mesothelioma yet...the doc has NOT told him. I guess that's what the post op appt is for?
So, today it's cleaning the house and finish the Laundry for me. blah! blah!

OFFLINE | Happy Monday to you all!
I too have the day off and it's a totally lazy day for me today!
Did all my errands & chores over the weekend so today for most of the day I will be surfing the internet and maybe do some online shopping as well.
Barb, wow wonder how he's going to handle that news.....Good luck with that.
I didn't know I missed the Amazing Race yesterday. Is this the season when past contestants try again? What time did it start?
It probably coincided with Desperate Housewives and if so then I'll be missing the whole season.
Snowing here today and it's currently 29 degrees.
When is Spring coming??????
Have a good day everyone!! |

 OFFLINE | Morning everyone!
Hope those of you that work and are off are enjjoying your "lazy" days.... I imagine most of you are busy with non-work things!
Yesterday was truly a lazy day for Ralph and - we watched romantic comedies all day. Got dressed to go get some Chinese and Monster-in_law came home.... Ralph started laughing and we ended up staying and watching that too! I so rarely watch movies..... it was a treat!
Today... hmmm, not sure. Thought about taking the boat out, but since so many have the day off the lake is probably packed... so no fishing.
Just as well- I want to be near the phone in case we find my friend Shirley. She very abruptly dropped out of circulation. Closed FB, won't answer her phones or email. Her husband is quite ill.... a few of us are very worried. My nephew knows her niece.... even the family is worried... if I were single I would be in my truck headed to Colorado! We have a friend that lives about 4 hours away.... she's thinking of driving up to see what she can see....
I need to catch up on some stuff anyhow....
hope y'all have a great day.... make the most out of your day, whatever you do!

Sorry to hear that about your friend. I hope too that she at least contacts someone so that the rest of you will know she's okay and just attending to her husband. That could be the reason she cut everything off. Might be her husband is her sole focus right now and everyone else will just be in her way, at least to her way of thinking.
I hope you hear something soon from her. |

OFFLINE | Good morning....errr.... Good afternoon all! Well....I got a lot done for the first half of my weekend....second half...not so much. I painted my daughter's bedroom....and on Sunday tried to put it back together....but I think I'm fighting a cold or something....cause I had NO energy...all I wanted to do was to SLEEP! Got woken up this morning at 3:30 when the neighbor decided to shovel his snow...yikes! We had abouat 3 or 4 inches of snow on Saturday...and then last night into this morning probably another 2 or 3 inches. I'm SO ready for Spring!!!
Sylvia....hope that you're able to enjoy your day off of work. Knowing you, you probably will be bored -- lol! I just saw that we've had 101.1 inches of snow so far this winter (we're 29 inches ABOVE average) -- but I'm guessing that you guys have had probably half of that...which is really odd!!!
Scott...Good for you for taking your grandson to see "great" artists....I agree with you--a lot of the artists of "today" don't have the GREAT rock n' roll of artists past. I just bought tickets (have to wait until June though) to see Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. I'm REALLY excited...as I LOVED Jersey Boys....and I know I'll love this concert too. Loved the fail blog videos....too funny!
Jann....so sorry to hear about all that's been going on in your life... seems like every time you take a step "forward"....you end up two behind. Hopefully your son is doing better now and your daughter's job loss at the pharmacy is a temporary one. Perhaps she'll find something better suited to trying to get some babysitting. I'll be keeping your friend Shirley in my prayers...it IS such a worry when people just don't answer their e-mails... but perhaps this is her way of dealing with what life is throwing her way.
Barbara....continued prayers for your uncle....that he continues to do well after he finds out what his diagnosis is. It was nice of your mom to call and thank you -- but, like everyone else said -- she should have been there and/or be there now...to help you out. Hopefully you can try and do something relaxing for YOU today.
Susan....even if you don't drop by...we know you're always with us Hopefully things work out with your kiddos....and that computer doesn't do anything else silly!! Thank goodness for Mark!!
Tonya...keeping you and your friend Darcy in my thoughts and prayers, as well. Man...she seems so young....hopefully they have caught it early enough to rehab her back. You didn't say how old her son is....I don't think it would matter....he would still be worrying...regardless of his age.
Teri....wow...you're already able to start working on your yard.....thank goodness for Zack...sounds like you raised him right!!! We still have more snow.....looks like any yardwork we do will be after March...looking at the long-term forecast! |

OFFLINE | Hi Mary.. I hope your not getting sick.. take some airborne or musinex...or anything that will stop it....
My friend Darlas son is 21, but hes handicapped.. similar to caring for a very young child. Its a lot of reassuring him that she will be home again.. he doesnt fully understand that she cant talk to him.. so, anyways..Im keeping the faith ... she WILL beat this, and be home .. they are seeing slight improvements every day... thank you for caring..NOW take care of you so you dont end up sick.. and for goodness sake.. relax some while you are off this week!!! |

OFFLINE | OK, just so ya know... we found Shirley!
She's been going through a lot of the same stuff I went through when Sam was ill (her husband has a brain tumor).
She didn't think anyone would miss her if she disappeared Her husband told her to throw away her cell phone, disconnect the computer, not talk to anyone....
I told her people with brain tumors don't always know what they're saying.... and that's the truth!!!
anyhow, I'm relieved that all is OK.... and now she has some help too... if you know anyone who is really sick... do something for the caregiver e very now and then!
