Just a quick "hi" to all...gonna be another busy day...got called to the hospital yesterday at work...My Uncle is not doing so well...so going to work early and get payroll done for the guys and then off to the Hospital....

Please say Prayers for my Uncle Buryl...he needs them.

Good Morning. Saying prayers for barb's uncle and Karola's uncle......

Going to try and start my day with better attitude. I need to quit letting my disappointments affect my day!

Woke up to a couple of inches of very wet snow! It's beautiful.... but it will allmelt, already is and it's not even light yet!

Talked to my son yesterday. Things appear to be on an upswing for him. Praing it's true!

Haven't heard from my daughter, but I'm sure I will. Verizon was able to put her number on my old phone, so all I had to do was buy a charger and mail it to her. She should have it today. I sent her new scrubs for her birthday.... she wore them in the pharmacy. Guess I'll exchange them since she won't be working there no more. *sigh*

Took him to see Jeff Beck a couple of years ago at a small venue and we both agreed it was the greatest performance we'd ever seen.

Plus, I have an agenda ... I'm trying to expose him to real music (including jazz, classical, blues, etc.) so he'll have a reference other than Lil' Wayne (barf!)

My daughter (her birthday is today) lost her job yesterday. She's set to move into the house she bought within the week.... f word.

And I had to send money (correction, I did not have to, I chose to!) to my son to get his water and electricity turned on. whne he lost his job he fell behind.....

Now I see you've got your plate full too and clearly you are homesick for your cabin.

I am sorry especially for your daughter's job loss.  

This damn recession has got to end already.

Happy Friday evening to you all!

I had today off as I had 2 vacation carry over days that I have to use before Mar 31st and this is the 1st of them.

This is also the holiday weekend for me so it's a 4 day weekend but as typical I have no "fun" plans at all.

Plus the weather is going to be a crap shoot Sunday & Monday so got to use most of tomorrow to get my errands done.

I hope everyone has been doing well and that all of you have a really good weekend.

Good Saturday Morning!

Already had my coffee...busy day ahead.  Have to go to the hospital ...I think my Uncle will be released today with a Pleural Cathetor.  Since the surgery failed...this is his last option.

I went round and round with the Hospital yesterday to get him a home health care nurse as they wanted ME to drain his fluid...ahhhh...NO!!!  So got that covered...and onto the next person to get him a Hospital bed.  Finally did that too!

My Mom called last night to say THANK YOU!  Wasn't that nice of her!!!!!!

So, have to have one of my kids go to my Uncle's house this Morning to wait for the Hospital bed deliverly.

I think this is only the beginning of the nightmare I'm about to enter.

It's really hard to run a Business and take care of him too...Kinda bitter...as I really think this is my Mom's (his sister) job....not mine.

OK...I've bitched enough!

Good that you got someone to take care of the fluid drainage because I sure couldn't do that either.  I think I'd pass out.

Your mom really pisses me off... Grrrrr!!

Anyway, just try to do what both Mary & Amy suggested in their email to you.  At this point it's the only resource you have truly.

Well for me nothing much going on my end.  Today's weather is very cold because of the strong wind gusts so now I have to re-think my chore schedule.

Tonya, thanks.... I think I weathered my little bout of depression... I'm OK, just needed to say some things.... don't know why I hold things in till they hurt...

We went out for breakfast yesterday, each put $1.00 in a slot machine... a walked away with $53.50. Ralph put $5 more in and walked away $1.50.

Sylvia.... hope you get all your errands done before the weather turns bad! We FINALLY got some snow! Most of it has melted, but there may be some more coming! I am homesick for the cabin! We'll be there at the end of this week... I HOPE!

(((((Barb))))) I am so sorry my friend. Sorry for your uncle and sorry that you have to deal with issues. Glad your  om said thank you, but wish she was there. Thank goodness you got a home nurse! Sam had a surgery where fluids needed to be drained... I had a cast on my right arm (I'm right-handed!) and they still wouldn't give us home nursing. Talk about a comedy!!! Thank goodness Sam was so easy going!

We ran into an old friend of Ralph's yesterday/ They got talking hunting dogs (he's a dog broker/trainer). Looks like we'll be getting a dog.... probably a German Wirehair. Oh goody. It's a little rediculous to spend that kind of money on a dog- IMHO- but I'm not a bird hunter.... I told Ralph we need a vacation first! And definately not until Sam dies. And he's not allowed to put her down unless she gets bad.

OK, put my foot down and it felt good!

Ron, hope you had a happy birthday. I know my daughter did!

Scott, I'm with you on making sure my grandkids get exposed to all kinds of music. I love music, I don't consider rap crap to be "good" music. And speaking of music.... George Thorogood is going to be in Reno in August! Going to get Ralph tickets for his birthday! B.B. King will be there in March...'

Morning everyone...Hope everyones weekend is off to a great start..

Mine started yesterday afternoon when I found out that my best friend had suffered a stroke.  She is only 47 years old.. Still waiting on test results. Hoping that they caught it in time.     Sitting at her house with her son for a good chunk of the weekend.  

Barb.. so glad you were able to get some home care assistance Hope they do a good job.. you do need a bit of relief.
