I loooove Dog Soldiers. For a low budget horror movie it amazes me how the director managed to make the werewolves look so menacingly real. That's some good FX work right there.
FYI the same director also did that movie called The Descent. Anyone ever see that one? That's probably the last good Hollywood horror movie that I could watch over and over. |

OFFLINE | Yeah the monsters look awesome in Dog Soldiers. The guys that made it are huge fans of the Aliens trilogy.
I always think what makes a good wolf movie is when the monster actually looks like a cross between a man and a wolf. Not some CGI gorilla looking thing or just a hairy dude.
Don't think I've seen it. Looks interesting though.

OFFLINE | Oh man, you really need to see The Descent. Either download it or rent it from netflix or something, you won't be disappointed. All I'll say is that the really 'claustrophobic' setting in the movie really makes for a very tense viewing experience. It's like the original Alien but just deep underground! |
