Do it man.  You just have to commit yourself to it.  You should try to get an internship at a brewery or something.  Just do some research on brewing and the different breweries so you sound good during an interview.  That way you would have a job you actually enjoy.  I wouldn't care if I was doing grunt work as long as I got to work at say, Stone Brewing.

I'm not about to volunteer to mod. Who knows if anybody that stepped up to do it would even be considered? Have at it though boys; I think a forum always benefits from having a mod that actually cares about the forum's topic of discussion.

If by any chance you're not up for it, Chris.. I'll gladly do it! Of course I'm not looking to steal anyone's thunder so if you or anyone thinks/feels otherwise then it's all good in da hood my friend. Yet bear in mind if I had the responsibility I would be absolutely FAIR and wouldn't be a dick for the sake of being one.

I am down to do it and would be fair.  I wonder how they will decide...

Nothing.  What's wrong is paying somebody to do something they would do for free.  Welcome to America, **** YEAH!

Very good way of putting it fellas, and yes.. it would have to be someone who is not biased either. For instance a person/mod might not like a particular person due to personalities not jiving together or simply because to that person, he or she might not be 'cool' enough or 'hip' enough or whatever the reason and so they get banned just for that **** alone, if that makes any sense.

Yeah...somebody that can be a critical thinker and be unbiased.  All you really have to do is follow the rules.  We need somebody with forum experience that cares about the forums and will be on frequently to delete spam, band advertisements, and duplicate threads.  Also, a person who knows metal, so that person can have sound judgment on whether or not threads are duplicates, and so on.
