Granted stereotypes do exist and are difficult to avoid at all costs but usually I try to be fair and not make blanket assumptions for fear of becoming far too jaded in my perceptions of things. It just helps so as not to say or do anything stupid that would not only offend other decent folk but also to prevent me from appearing stupid or ignorant. I guess that's why it really pisses me off when I witness something that does fall under a stereotypical category and therefore makes me happy that the yuppies are buying up all the property.

In case anyone is curious, I was at a Target store earlier w/ a friend just browsing around when I saw two black hoodlums entering into the store along with us. An older white woman happened to pass by one of the hoodies who happened to make eye contact with her. Yet of course the woman being alone turned her face away and kept walking (like anyone with enough common sense should do) to which the hoodie remarked, "You don't have to roll ya damn eyes at me, lady!" And proceeded to keep staring at her all hard even while she just kept walking minding her own business. And mind you, these **** gorillas were the ones eyeballing her in the first place when she wasn't even looking at them in the first place. Further being that this was a more 'blacker' part of town, I can't tell you how many dirty looks we would get by the brothas and sistahs around that area.. and all because they are too **** bitter over the fact that the 'white man' is actually doing something nice with the real estate over there besides letting it deteriorate into a giant crack house.

I'm not surprised. Yet if you gave them a ton of money so they could do something with their community I bet they would all spend it on nothing but bling, new cars, more bling, and maybe a few chicken and rib joints, and that's about it!
