Wow, well.. if this is any consolation of any sort to you.. at ALL, then let me say that I'm glad things have worked out for you and that you didn't fall prey to anything more harsher than what could have resulted. Been there myself.. all I can say is, you never really know a particular person until you get him/her drunk enough, lol.. that's the only way I can put it.

Yup.. basically everything you just said is the reason why these days I tend to be very wary of those that are a little too 'nice' and/or affectionate, especially when such a person has only known you for maybe just a day or whatever, for those are the ones that will really take advantage of you in the long run. I get a lot of **** from some people because I'm often accused of being too cynical about life and people in general but you know what, I like to think of it as simply 'testing' a person.. that is, if I'm going to sacrifice my time, my effort, emotions, not to mention personal resources in the process of having you as a 'friend' then you might as well 'earn' it. Just sayin'

Damn man you hit the nail on the head there. I had all kinds of "friends" until I quit drugs and booze. Now that I don't have any drugs for them, my phone has stopped ringing off the hook. In fact, none of them call me anymore. I'll see them at my once in a blue moon visit to the bar, and see that they are still their same **** up selves. Pftt. Fake people, who needs em.

the effects of beer/alcohol can be brutal, surely in fact.. I don't even see how people even stomach some of it in the first place what with the bad after taste/gag reflex that ensues 'n all.. the first time I ever went on a beer binge (in one night) after about 4 hours, I felt like I was hacking up fleshy parts of my esophagus.. man!
