Celebrities heap laurels on 180

Director Mani Ratnam, who watched 180, said, 'it is a wholesome film. Entertaining for the first part and emotional later. The visuals and music are brilliant and the performances are very good. Both heroines have done a good job and Siddharth is extremely good in the last part. The climax is fantastic.'

Actor Vijay said, 'Siddharth has always played the role of a lover boy perfectly. In this film, he has once again proven his command over this genre but has also combined it with the maturity required to play such a sophisticated character. This is a movie that I’m sure will be enjoyed by all age groups.'

Madarassapatinam fame Vijay said, 'Congratulations to Jayendra on the film, casting, performance, RR and photography. It’s all fantastic.'.

On her part, Suhasini Maniratnam, said, 'It is a very young film from a mature film maker. It is a welcome change to see educated well spoken and qualified people as protagonist as against the thieves, Hench
men , hookers and way wards whom we have been seeing as heroes in our Tamil films. Music is outstanding and cinematography is world class. Both heroines s peak their own lines which is a miracle in south Indian cinema. Wonderful to see Siddharth playing a character and not being a hero. Jayendra is a winner in his first film itself.'

Jayendra’s 180 gets thumbs up

The verdict on filmmaker Jayendra’s latest movie, 180, is out. The movie, which has been released in Tamil as Nootrenbathu and in Telugu as 180, has been lauded by critics as a film that is honest and strikes a chord with the audience. 180 marks ad-filmmaker Jayendra’s directorial debut and stars Siddharth, Nitya Menon and Priya Anand in key roles.

The story revolves around Mano (Siddharth), who goes to Chennai after performing the last rites of his father at Benares. In Chennai, he strives to help the needy. For instance: He helps newspaper boys deliver papers, sells eatables and tea at the beach, fights against auto-rickshaw drivers who fleece the common man etc. Then, Vidya (Nitya Menon), enters his life and falls in love with him. But Mano has to reject her proposal since he has a dark past.

The performances by the lead actors as well as by the supporting cast, the technical aspects and the music by Malayalee composer Sharath have been appreciated by crtics and masses alike. The film is doing well all over the South.

She liked Siddharth lip kiss

Siddharth became controversial artist in Telugu films. He is hot on media but cool on heroines. ‘180’ film heroine Priya Anand adores Siddharth for the knowledge on film making.  “He knows everything. Singing, dancing, acting, directing but he does not know how to draw a circle. Siddharth tried drawing circle correctly many times but he cannot do it.”

Media asked Priya Anand on circling of lip kiss with Siddharth in character of hero wife in 180. She said of shying, enjoyed the lip kiss.-MM
