A paragraph maybe. Or a few random lines. Lay down a topic to inspire the next person to write about it.

Here's the first one:

At first she thought it was just a nickel covered in dried mud. Whose idea was it to have a beaver on the back of those things? She should research currency design. Google it maybe.

Hardly slowing, she reached down and grabbed the coin from the sidewalk and slipped it into the pocket of her jacket. When she saw the bus rounding the corner on Davie Street, she began to jog, forgetting everything except making it to the stop on time.

September was the month we lost our Grandpa Braman, no one ever told me he was sick with lung cancer, they just called me two weeks after he died to tell me he was gone. Every September morning is a rainy morning.  I try my hardest to stay in the sunlight but it never works because I miss him so and regret I decided to wait to visit him until the next time I would go home.

I took a deep breath and stepped out of the consuming darkness.  Little did I know, the light was so bright that my eyes were having similar effects like snow blind.  now I understood why they said "too much light makes the baby go blind".

from dusk til dawn

you slept on threads of silver
woven by my calloused hands.
I always wonder why you stay
so long, with this tom-boy who
doesn't need your fast toys
and bright lights.

Barbie Walks on Spider's Feet

~~~~~
It was difficult enough, not having been trained properly in web-making, for Theodore Spider to travel from the corner of the room to the table leg. What, he found himself wondering, could the Kid of the House have been thinking when she propped her Cosmo Barbie against the doorway? It took him all morning to re-align one of her legs so that he could manage to retrieve the raisin stored in cell nine. While he nibbled on this treasure, he decided that innovation became him.
Carefully cleaning his appendages of any remnant of sugar, he deftly slipped beneath Cosmo Barbie's silly plastic shoes. Then, mustering all his spidery strength, he pushed upward and together, he and Cosmo Babs lurched their way toward the table leg.
The pigs just stood there staring at the ceiling, I stared too but I couldn't see what they were looking at.
Getting used to New Things:
It is not so hard as you think. No manual needed just hunting, searching, failing, and learning. Although it only takes a little time before the New Things become old, and we forget what we were worried about to begin with.
he came already baubled
now all he does is drift
one branch to the next
coldly painted with stars
is this cheating?
If I see your hand in the mirror behind you and base my next move on what I know
is this cheating?
If I see you poke your PIN into the ATM in the middle of the road and after you're gone, I poke it too
is this cheating?
If I follow you home and write down your address then order some stuff online and have it delivered to you COD
is this cheating?
If I glance at your exam and see that you know when I do not have a clue and so I do what you do
is this cheating?
is this cheating? is it?
festival of friends
Lights glow off of childrens faces and worries are lost, somewhere, blown away by the icy wind. Whisked off, over there, dancing i nthe city streets with the trash- But look. Santa is waving at us, and those girls are dancing through firey hoops! And over there! Look! The tubas have garland inside them! And look!!! The mexica ngirls have the best skirts!!! Like wearing and dancing inside of a beautiful cake!!! AND CLYDESDALES!!! Theyre so gorgeous ,and big!!! And they arnt scared at all! Ohhh, this man screaming about hot chocolate behind me is annoying but it sure is good, and warm, and sweet... And all over my jacket. *sighs* People  can be so pushy. Oh well...
Silent night
Oh night of consealed noise, bring me to the joy so long ago foretold.
Or will you just be a night, bitter and cold.
Will you feed my ignorance with your dark cover, or will you show that there is nothing to truly fear.
Envelop me, oh night of suffocated sound. Bring me peace, not horrid dreams of monsters in your arms.
Please be the opposite of those tales that fell from the lips of ancient men, looking to form my ideals and morals with thier wide sweeping hand.
Reaching through you to touch me with fingers for fright and terror.
Oh night of silence, say something that can be of use to me.
Oh Happy day
Oh The Burning Sun
Feel the burning sun
it's a hot hot one
one for two and three for fun
what will you do when it's all been done
feel the healing come
from the burning sun.
