I also finally received a phone call after missing it the first time he tried. I dont know if its because i havent talked to him in 3 months, but he sounded different. I almost think a lower voice and a lot more calm. It obviously has nothing to do with growing up because hes 24 The letters from Adam were my everything. They are what got me through the week. And writing him letters helped also. I still write him letters, but dont send them. Im going to give them to him thursday (family day) and let him read it when he has to go back to the barracks after liberty. I love how you are reaching out and communicating with everyone! I found talking to people going through the same thing very comforting! If you have any questions please ask!
Danielle it does seem like it will take forever for July to get here...In all reality the time has gone by fast considering that they are already into week 5......but for us here at home week 5 sounds like just the begining...LOL As I have said, I can only imagine how you all must be feeling right now at this exact moment....I mean WOW you have two more days until you begin your adventure to SD and 3 more days until you actually get to SEE your Marine and then it is graduation.......how awesome.....You have all waited a long time for this and been exactly where I am right now.....so I am sort of living vicariously through you all to get an idea of how it will feel!!!! The letters ARE AMAZING and TOTALY make my days and my week!!!! When I dont get one it is so hard but I have to remember "Apryl, they have a job to do..."......I still pout though!!! I think it is awesome that you have still been writing to Adam Danielle......I think that will be hard when it is two weeks prior to Grad and not receiving any more letters and not being able to send....I might do the same thing you have done.....As far as reaching out to everyone, man why wouldn't I???? LOL I mean this is such an amazing journey that we are ALL on...not just our Recruits/Marines...but every single one of us....and if I can extend congrats and encouragement and learn from some of the things you all say...I say HELL YEA!!!!!!!! I love details and as I am sure you have seen I post a lot.....any time I get news etc as maybe someone else hasnt heard the same thing or doesnt want to post but at least they can read my stuff and hopefully find answers or comfort!!!! We are all FAMILY now....... Danielle I am so happy and excited for you and would love to hear all about your time at MCRD....are you staying in Billeting? That is what we are planning to do and my son is so excited about that!!! So I hope I am able to get one ASAP...(June 6th when I can make my reservation)......Please feel free to keep in contact with me after your Adam graduates.....as soon enough you and I will be on level ground so to speak......well almost...timing might be different but we will be yet again going through the same things...... Have a wonderful day Danielle and thank you so much for your kindness and your help!!! It means the world to me!!! ooraahh Plt. 2127.....CONGRATS!!!!!!!! |

OFFLINE | We leave tomorrow for San Diego. Can't wait. It seemed like the day would never come. He was gone for an aditional 4 weeks because he had to go to MRP. My son left as a typical teenager and is returning as a mature man. San Diego here we come. |
