OFFLINE | I can certainly understand a worldly satisfaction in this monster no longer living. But it wouldn't surprise me if these photos influence stepped-up terrorism, or increased insensitivity, racism, and general dysfunction between Muslims and non-Muslims (how many people don't differentiate between Islam and Radical Islam?).
IMO, it's unfavorable to release these photos. |

Here's my take ... it's the ultimate in political hypocrisy.
Just a couple of years ago, the media plastered pictures of Abu Ghraib everywhere.
Where was those same concerns at that time?

No. I don't want to see them and I don't want to see the backlash from making them public. |

OFFLINE | Similarly, I felt it was disgusting to see Sadam's hanging plastered all over the internet. I'm not sure if the media is merely cashing in on things like this, or of there's other strategy at hand. Regardless, I think it's unfavorable.
(I really want to say 'wrong,' but I'm just gunna let God sort that out) |

OFFLINE | I don't want to see them. At this point, releasing them could very possibly be seen as taunting the Islamic people....and that would just open an even bigger can of worms. |

I read this and instantly thought of the "car wreck theory".....it's so awful, but you just HAVE to look! |

EeeeeeeYep! And I confess, I did look. For an informed perspective (I'm rationalizing) I wanted to see what the rest of the public was seeing.

OFFLINE | Nope ... it's a matter of national security.
Apparently Obama says the White House will not release a photo of Osama bin Laden's body. Obama made the remarks during an interview today with CBS' "60 Minutes.
This is the second decisions he's made that I agree with ... the first one being a few days ago. |

OFFLINE | I'm betting that if this were 3 years ago and the Evil Boosh were in office, loons like Eric Holder, the ACLU, and the New York Times would be demanding they be released. There would be an outcry that would last for weeks. |
