 OFFLINE | Here's a quote from the 60 min interview :
Obama said that "we don't need to spike the football." |

Interestingly, it also was "60 Minutes" who first released the Abu Ghraib photos after the Evil Boosh administration asked them not to do it, for the same reasons.

I agree, and it's one of the many dysfunctions I've always disliked about politics. It's not ultimately about what's right, wrong, or truthful; it's about one party trying to present a perception of proof that they're right and the other is wrong.
It never ceased to amaze me how so many referred to Bush as Evil while conveniently ignoring the 'fact' that they're not privy to the exact same information as Bush (or any president) was/is as they made their presidential choices. And like Teri said, this is a matter of national security and I don't feel the general public deserves or has the right to see exactly what President Obama and top government sees as they're strategizing their efforts against terrorists and terrorism. What 'good' comes from the release of such graphically pictorial or video information? |

On a personal level, I'd like to see them.
From a national security perspective, I'm like most ... I also don't think they should be released. |
