OFFLINE | Considering that the nearest PrePaid card from where I live is a two hour drive, I consider it lame for the premium silk transactions. The only answer I have for myself is for securities. A cash exchange is basically guaranteed, as with a credit/debit card, the host is unsure as to if the cards even possess the money. For example, if I bought something using a credit card, yet didn't have the money and of course never planned to, and they went ahead and went through with my transaction, knowing they would eventually get their money in later years due to debt of the consumer, who's on the crap end? My answer is the person selling whatever.
Now, as for two currencies, I do believe there should be some sort of transaction for Normal Silk > Premium. Say a 1/3 fee? Just an example.
Jessica, as for "if they'll change it not" (if that was even the question you asked. I got a bit lost with all the open ended answers by Luciella) I did research on forums for other games by Joymax, all of which have the same complaint, and considering all these games have been around for sometime, and yet nothing has changed, I wouldn't plan on there being a single currency. So I feel comfortable in answering for Luciella.
As with every F2P, the better players will of course MOSTLY be those who purchase from the cash shop. It's a fact. My only argument is, what does Joymax think makes them the higher standing company that allows them to feel comfortable with giving two currency to purchase? What I mean is, they're probably not going to do very well money wise, if everyone is obviously mad with their Cash Shop transactions. I have yet to see a game produced by Joymax get any credit for anything.
But, I'm rambling. And what does my argument matter? It's not what the players WANT, it's what they NEED. They only listen when it comes to technical issues. The only reason I'm playing this F2P is because it's my child hood as my favorite genre of a video game: MMO. I give it two weeks, before the $50 (not including fees) I spent on Normal Silk becomes useful, and I say forget it. Guild Wars baby. |
