       Well ladies the mailman came through for me today!!!!!!!! I got 2 letters today....ok, well I got one letter and a seperate letter that he actually responded to my questionare!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!~ I guess he got the HINT!!!!!!~ ::.....
Ok, so from his letter this is what he had to say....... he is doing well and they are considered in PHASE III now.......he is looking forward to getting back to MCRD........when they do they will actually get their names stitched on their chamies!!!!!!!!Team Week consists of a lot of working parties where they do a lot of stuff around CP.....I suppose cleaning it up etc.....He said the camping was pretty cool but that it was cold as hell at night as they only had their sleeping systems (sleeping bags) under the stars.....He said as soon as graduation is over he wants to "get the hell out of there and head HOME".....::...He is hoping that we surprise him on FD with In & Out Burger.......Good Lord I hope I can find one very close to the base!!!!!! And on time!!!!!! of course he tells me NO PREASSURE!!!!!! YEA RIGHT Marquis!!!!!!! :: He says that now that they are in Phase III they are really expected to step up their game and really act and present themselves as MARINES.......aside from the Crucible he said they are all basically Marines.....He also told me to tell his dad that he really feels for him when he has to stay in the truck and be gone for two months at a time due to where there current job is and  as he now knows what it is like to work basically 18 hours a day non stop and he says it SUCKS..........Joking of course!!!!!!!!! He sounds great and is really excited about seeing us very soon!!!!!

Ok so now on to the Questionare!!!!~ ::

He says Swim Qualifications were good and everyone passed
He has yet to experience Pugil Sticks but that the Obstacle course was a lot of fun....
He still has the same jobs of House Mouse and Super Squad...both are cleaning jobs and he says that they are both AWESOME!!!!
Brenda this one is for YOU.......Aaron DOES NOT have a "nickname"....
Rifles and Range were a lot of fun
He ordered pictures and the DVD and he says he ordered enough for everyone!!!!!
He told me he was a little sick but was going to medical to get better so for me NOT TO WORRY about him......(ha yea right Marquis...it is in a Mothers Nature to worry!!!!!!)
He is wanting RA pretty bad so when he gets back to MCRD he is going to try and schedule his MCT according to an RA schedule
He thinks Church is very cool
He doesn't get IT'd he has once or twice in the begining but not lately...

So there it is in a nutshell ladies!!!!!! He actually responded!!!!!!!!

Apryl!! I'm so excited you finally got a response!! That's great! I'm hoping I'll also get some mail today, I told Steven to start sending mail to my house in Seattle since school is almost over, I don't want to leave school and miss out on any letters! I'm still going to check my mailbox here of course just in case there was a delay in when he got my letter telling him to do that. BUT! My interview went great! So I'll be hearing back sometime tomorrow hopefully, I'll let you all know how it went! Enjoy your letters Apryl! And Brenda and Karin I hope you find some today too!! :]]

We received four letters today, three from Will (all dated 6/5) and one from another recruit.  
Apparently they have been holding mail, which is a bummer b/c Will said moral goes way up when they get letters. I know from things in his letter he has not received the last 3 letters I have written or the ones from his dad, and those date back a couple of weeks.
They are all excited to get their names and MARINE on their cammies.  My son is looking forward to getting back to MCRD.  He did really well with his rifle, he shot expert both times.  He's very proud of himself. I am too.  I was concerned he may not get to fire b/c of his pink eye. He sounded happy, healthy, and excited. They are such a great group of kids.  I can't wait to see all of them march out on that parade deck.  
it's going to be one of 'those' moments in all of our lives.  I can't wait to experience it.

Amanda I am so happy that your interview went well today!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! I hope that Steven gets your letters soon enough to know to send anything home in Seattle!!!!! Let us know how it turns out with your interview results!!!!!!!
Karin, I had a feeling that they had been holding mail........Marquis' letter was also dated 6/5 and it covered a lot but he asked questions that I have already said to him in letters that were from 2 weeks ago......so this does not make me happy at all!!!!!!! He had asked me in this letter that I got today to send more envelops as all of his were sealed shut........but the funny thing is that for the past month, every other letter or so I always send 2 envelopes with stamps on them to him......so that really tells me he isn't getting his mail......that is sad for them to be holding their mail as it is something that lifts their spirits and helps them through this....and those DI's know that!!!!!!!! But hopefully they have received mail since this past Sunday and will get all of the letters that had been sent previous to CP when they get back to MCRD!!!!! Very good group of young men Karin!!!!!I am also looking forward to seeing them ALL march onto that parade deck!!!!! A moment for sure!!!!! One I am sure we will cherish forever!!!!!! Awww Karin you are right! It is going to be one of those moments and I'll probably get chill bumps even in the scorching heat! To see them marching in their uniforms will be the highlight of the day! I wish they would not hold those letters! Aaron always puts a    in his letter to us, when he did not receive anything during mail call! That really makes me feel bad, but I've been sending one practically everyday! I'm praying for a letter by Friday.

Thanks Arpyl...so no nickname. He did say most are called by their last names so he is one of them. I'm so happy Marquis sent back the questionaire, finally the answers you were waiting for! I pray he doesn't have anything serious, maybe its a little sniffles from sleeping under the stars in the cold air. Oh boy...I can just hear Aaron...he HATES the cold! Remember, he's the one after doing firewatch, who put a full canteen of hot water with him in his bed     He not going to be able to do that again!

It makes me really sad they have been holding the mail, Steven got disappointed when one of my letters got skipped and got to him late so I can imagine how all our guys must be feeling to be without mail for weeks! :// Unfortunately, I guess they now know how we feel when we don't get mail for a week or two! Brenda......I forgot to tell you .....the "water bottle" thing....Marquis does the same thing as well!!!!!!!!! Marquis doesn't like the cold either........well thank goodness they are done with that aspect of it right??!! because a sheet and one wool blanket is so much better!!!!! ::......Yes Timmy and I actually laughed that Marquis had taken the time to send answers back.......at first we were looking at the paper like...."WTH is this??" .........then it clicked!!!!!!! I was extremely happy that he took the time to send it back as there were a TON of questions on there!!!!!!!!! Thank you Apryl!!     Zack wrote a letter on Sunday and he said he just got the protein bars I mailed to him two weeks ago. I kind of think they weren't getting their mail at CP. Or not as often. I mailed the bars off the Monday before he left and he got them at MCRD when he got back from CP.

Yes I am begining to sense that mail has NOT been delivered very much if AT ALL over the last few weeks..........Marquis' last couple of letters indicate that to me as yet again no corelation between what we have writen and what he sent.........Im glad that Zach finally got the protein bars that you sent Lynette!!!!!! about damn time.....even though they would have really liked them Im sure at CP!!!!!!!!!! Only a few more days for Plt. 2166 at CP so lets hope that they get caught up on the mail that is there for them next Sunday or Monday!!!!!!! Guess who FINALLY got mail?? It was at my home in Seattle so I know he got my letter telling him to stop sending to my apartment! He said they held mail for a week and 2 days which he was not happy about.
He also let me know that he was only a couple points away from Expert but he was positive about moving past it and content that he ranked Sharpshooter. I'm so glad he's staying positive!!
He also said he'll keep writing since it was Team Week (it was dated Monday 6/6) which I assume means they have had more down time, WHICH also means I will hopefully be getting more letters in the next few days! :]]]
How was everyone's day? Fantastic I hope! My sister's graduation was awesome and it was so nice because my favorite Aunt and Uncle came down from Canada for the weekend so it's been nice getting to catch up and relax now that I'm done with school! I hope these next few weeks fly by! We're almost there ladies!! :]]

I'm so glad that you got mail.......well Steven either got you letter asking him to send letters to Seattle or he used his mighty man power of deduction and realized school was out for you!!!!!!!!!!!!! In anycase I am so glad that you got mail!!!!!!!!!! Alright Amanda!!! So happy mail was waiting for you!!! I am sooo glad there are back at MCRD!! I have a feeling they have so much mail to read, they won't have time to write!!   Aaron's got to have at least 15- 20 letters waiting for sure!  Tomorrow starts off a busy week, so I hope they find time to write somewhere! I'm sending a Good Luck card on Tues with everyone signing it, to wish him well on the upcoming Crucible. I have to make sure he gets it before they leave again to CP! Yes COME ON 7/8!!!!!!!~ Brenda, with regards to the Good Luck card that is awesome!!!!!!!!!! I think my last letter to Marquis will be the Monday a week before they leave for WFTBN.......that way there they should get it before that Sunday when they leave!!!!!!!!! I will let him know in that letter that will be my last as I know they will not have time to write after that.......no sense in sending more letters that they wont get!!!!! That is going to be really hard to not send him letters every day......but it all has to come to an end at some point right?????? That will just let me know that we are all that much closer to seeing our guys and meeting one another!!!!!! ......I am not sure which I am more excited about......seeing Marquis or meeting all of you!!!!!
