Anybody suffer from lower back problems or injuries?

First off, please consult a certified medical doctor and get an MRI scan done to really know what damage has been done.

Despite doctors telling me I wouldn't be able to lift again, I recovered from over a year of pain and sciatica after tearing my L4-L5 disc casing, popping 4 facet joints and suffering 5 muslce tears in my back due to sports related injuries.

I found this article very helpful.

I also recommend Dr. Stuart McGill's 'Ultimate Back Fitness and Performance (4th Edition)'

Rehab done earlier is better, but for anyone out there suffering in pain, know that the body is very resilient and has the ability to recover from many things.

Start off with some light mobility work and slowly work into strengthening the supporting muscles of the injured area.

Don't push too hard, but be consistent with rehab exercises.
I became 100% pain free only 2 years after my injury. I'm now training and lifting regularly again.

All the best!!!

Ouch.. your injury sounded like a disaster. Did the injury build up gradually or your back just blew in one heavy pull?

Another question.. was the cost of your surgery covered by insurance?

I blew it one day after being perfectly healthy and pain free.

No surgery required! Just hard work and discipline!

MRI was paid for out of pocket unfortunately.
