Hi Facebookers (quite frankly didn't know FB had a forum until today). Anywhoos, I was wondering if anyone knew of any really good horror novels. I'm looking to download a few on my Kindle for PC application. I'm reading Turn of the Screw now which I find to be richly suspenseful; once I finish that, I'm looking to tackle some other great ones that I know are out there. I"m all ears.

I've read quite a few of his novels. I think personally The Stand and The Shining were the best of those. I've been trying to wane off of him and Edgar Allan Poe for a while, just to get a taste of other writers.

Find and read a book by the name of "The Missing". I guarantee you'll fall in love with it. The first page was even amazing to read.

Sounds interesting. I'll take a look into it.

*Edited a moment later* Might you know the specific author? It seems there are several books in the Kindle Store with that exact title but by several different writers.

Nevermind, I think Sarah Langan is the appropriate person in mind. Hmm.....zombies? Ought to be pleasant.

"The Missing" is not a zombie book. The author's name is Chris Mooney.

Funny, that author didn't even pop up in the search. Looks like I may have found then two books to look into.

Damn, it would seem that particular piece is not available for Kindle, though some of his other works are.

Oh, and if anyone knows of any really decent 19th century or early 20th century novels/short stories (besides Lovecraft or Poe), I'd be very receptive to the feedback. I, for some reason eat up the archaic diction of that time.
