OFFLINE | While most people can happily drink down gallons upon gallons of milk and eat eggs and other types of dairy products without any repercussions, I am battling with eczema-inducing allergies on a daily basis. I wonder if anyone else here has any allergies that are limiting their sources of protein?
Anyway, keeping my allergies in mind... this is what I have pre-workout and post workout:
Pre-workout:
Cashew nuts + Soy Milk
Post-workout:
2 bottles of VitaSoy Milk (equiv. to 18g protein & 400 kcal)
I know there has been several articles criticizing soy and what not. But I figured if our forefathers have been drinking it without any issues. Soy is incorporated in the asian diet for generations. So I doubt it would bring adverse effects on me. Besides, it could be possible that only caucasians are allergic to soy but not asians. Just a theory.
Any suggestions how I can get a good dose of non-dairy protein post workout? |

OFFLINE | How about beef and chicken meat? Top it with beans and such.
I've read somewhere that vegetarian/vegan bodybuilders mix and match their foods to get a diet that is complete in EAAs. Say for instance that a certain bean may only contain 4/8 of EAAs in significant amounts, so other beans/grains are included to cover for the lack of the other 4 EAAs.
Oh that, and there's this supplement worth checking out: http://egonutritions.com/shopping/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=31&products_id=406
I think you might have read my review on the product back in the days when DM forums were still active. It's dirt cheap with heaps of servings, and it worked for me. I've gained size from this supplement back in the days when I was still bodybuilding. The taste, however, is not that all pleasant but well, taste is a subjective thing so I'll let you be the judge. I've tried vanilla and I'd strongly recommend getting chocolate. |

OFFLINE | Yeah, I am contemplating getting UN Protein Isolate. I wish they could provide a sample packet though. I'm pretty particular when it comes to taste. What's the point of buying when you end up not consuming it because you don't enjoy it right?
But gotta admit it's very cheap. |

OFFLINE | Try asking EGO if you could get a sample packet or something. |
