Average day lately, mid-70s, mostly sunny.  It's extra dry in the forest to the north.  Open wood campfires have been banned for the last couple of days in the campground at the North Rim. Of course, there is the sign banning fireweorks anywhere for this weekend.  Usually windy in the later afternoon and evening.  Of course, if you want it warmer, just take a hike below the rim...the temperature rises quickly as you descend...just remember that it's 2-3 times more difficult hiking back up.

Arizona monsoons have been sending some strong thunderstorms over the canyon just about every afternoon lately.  Not sure if it's the nature of the monsoons, or maybe the 8500 ft elevation.  I have never FELT thunder before.

It was about 75 today at the Grand Canyon's North Rim, and no thunderstorms today!  I went into Page, AZ and it was in the low 90s and partly cloudy.

Today is gonna be VERY HOT -- as is the rest of the week.....UGH....I do NOT do well with humidity and 90+ degree temps -- I think global warming is ruining our normal summers here
