OFFLINE | The latest advice from the department of health continues to be there is not sufficient evidence to recommend routine removal of PIP implants, women who are concerned should speak with their GP.
We recognise that this statement has not gone far enough to reduce our patients anxiety levels, and we would like to re assure you that the Hospital Group operates to the highest standards of clinical excellence. PIP implants were licensed in the UK by the MHRA a Department of Health government agency, for the use in the UK, the NHS , private hospitals, private clinics and private surgeons all used PIP implants for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
We are unable to answer specific questions in relation to individual patients on such and open public forum and therefore have taken the topic off line. Uninformed and incorrect comments are not helping reassure our patients. We would like to discuss your individual cases in person and therefore would direct you to our PIP Patient information line. This helpline has the latest information and is manned by knowledgeable staff who can reassure you with the facts.
