Acceptable Use Policy (HYPER JAPAN Forum Rules)
This is owned by HYPER JAPAN which has obligations to its supporters, fans, and its own image. For that reason, certain behaviors are not acceptable here. Please also bear in mind that HYPER JAPAN is an event for the whole family, so keep your content clean and suitable for all!
Whilst HYPER JAPAN bears no responsibility and will not be held responsible for viewpoints or information expressed on this forum, to keep the forum accessible and fun for everyone please read and stick to the following:
Personal responsibility
You are personally responsible for everything you post or that appears in your posts. For example, if you hyperlink to a third party image or content without the host's permission and they substitute the image for something offensive, it will be you that gets the blame for it.
No content that is considered racist, obscene or objectionable will be tolerated. All such posts will be deleted without notice. This rule also extends to use of avatars and signatures.
Starting new threads
Please use the forum search facility to check if there is already a thread on the subject before you start a new one. If one already exists then please use it even if no-one has posted in it for a long time.
Replying to existing threads
Please try to read at least the first and last page of each thread before replying.
Avoid double/multiple posting. If you have something to add to your post and no-one has replied to it yet then use the edit button and add the extra content instead of starting another post.
Please use full sentences with appropriate punctuation. We don't want to have to decipher any text speak or slang..
No illegal content
Do not post links to torrent sites or other places where illegally copied materials may be found.
Do not post links to pornographic, obscene or otherwise offensive content.
Listing and selling of merchandise
Its fine to sell, trade or promote your Japan related goods in our forum. Please note that HYPER JAPAN bears no responsibility for any transactions that may occur. Users should employ the same discretion when purchasing or trading on this forum as they would on any online sales platform. If HYPER JAPAN believes your post to be suspicious or receives any complaints we will remove the listing at once.
Promoting Other Forums and communities
We have no problem with the promotion of other relevant forums or communities, but bear in mind HYPER JAPAN accepts no responsibility for what individuals chose to promote. However, again if HYPER JAPAN believes your post to be suspicious or receives any complaints we will remove the listing at once without negotiation.
Moderation decisions
The above is not an exhaustive list of rules for the forum. Moderators/ Admins will decide on other issues as the need arises and at their own discretion.
