Our basic rule is to "play nice" with others. No personal insults, racist or sexist remarks, or trolling. It is fine to disagree but it is not fine to verbally bash another member. Think before you write. Words are very powerful. They can be used to educate, uplift, and inspire. They can also be used to send someone over the edge. Use your words to help others and not to win arguments, promote your ego, or take your anger out on strangers. If I see trollish behavior I will call you on it and give a warning. If you engage in the same behavior twice, you are out.

Remember...this is a support group.

Also spam will not be permitted on this forum. If your sole purpose is to sell something to our members, this is not the right venue for you. If you are a pharma representative don't even try. I can spot you guys a mile away. This is a site primarily for caregivers and individuals with special needs. If you wish to recommend a book or website we will have a special section for such links. We are not responsible for the usefulness or functionality of any external links. Click at your own discretion.

Please keep confidentiality in mind when you speak of others including teachers, therapists, doctors, family members, and your own children. Avoid using real names or identifying information. This is a public site which could be accessed by....anyone.

As time goes on I am sure that I will think of more rules which may benefit the group. We want to make this experience a safe and pleasurable one for all.
