| So...do you guys have any kind of work out..or whatever...to help stay in shape?
I ride my bike to work...for about 4 years now...it's only about 50-60 miles per week...but...it's something..
My job is physical...but I don't know how much it helps with strength or endurance.
What do you all do? |

| I do lots of walking at work plus I started doing pushups not so much for me but for the 23 year old kid I work with with spagetti arms and is sick every other day. Steph and I have an eliptical for those days when we can't get on the beach or walk around town. We try to get in at least 4 miles a day. Oh and Shawn I am about to have another round with the urologist. Stupid PSA. |

The urologist we have here is pretty good, rough as a seasonal country road, but pretty good. But sometimes I think he goes at his patients' prostates like they're punching bags :/ |

| Another thing I've done is improved my diet. I try to eat as little junk food as possible. A year ago I completely switched over to Soy (Light) Milk by Silk. I eat Oatmeal almost every morning for breakfast, and a variety of Fiber One cereal for my last meal of the day. And I rarely ever eat cheese anymore.
Cutting out cheese was a difficult one, especially since I LOVE curd cheese. But no longer eating cheese and going completely with Soy Milk has really improved my cholesterol levels. Granted, I'm still taking Simvastatin, but the dosage level is no longer on the rise.
My doctor would like me to lose some weight. But at 6'4", my ideal weight of 196 results in my looking way too skinny. I've gotten my weight back down to 185 and kept it there for a year, but I was rather grossed out by my thinness, so I gained weight back. But if you do exercises very regularly, it keeps your muscle content up and toned and since muscle fiber is heaver than fatty tissues,,, um, doc, Duh!
And, I almost NEVER eat at Mickey Dee's! The only fast food restaurant I frequent is Subway now.
Also, particularly when it's not winter, I eat lots of fruits and veggies rather than snack foods. |

| We have added eating a 1/2 cupo of nuts at least 5 times a week, they are good for your heart. The down side is the salt content of mixed nut cans. |
