I completly agree about staying busy, having something to do really makes my day go alot faster, and the weeks fly by. I would literally go crazy just sitting at home waiting for this to be over. I am so grateful to have my friends and family to support me during all of this, and i am even more grateful to have this website and all of you that know exactly what i am going through.

And Melissa I am 23 My boyfriend #346 is 21.

Cool.. My boyfriend and I are both 23 And yeah, it does help having this group page for sure! Your friends can only understand so much ya know? The only people that rrreeally understand what you're going through are the people going through it also... so it helps to be able to relate to you all! Thanks!

I'm really lucky...my roommate and then one of my best friends from high school both have Army SOs.  They were stellar supporters pre-basic, before I had all this.  The Army family is a tight knit bunch.

It is good that we ave a page to go to... my friends and family really do not understand what it is to be in this position so they just blow it off... but its ok because the date is getting closer

It is going by SUPER fast ladies! Just think, we are already 1/3 of the way through June and then only have one more month until we see our boys! Time should fly by!
~My boyfriend and I have been together for a year and seven months... we were really serious and in love so much before he left, but now our relationship and love for one another has already grown so much stronger within this little time that he has been away. So it is most definitely true that distance makes the heart grow fonder! Although I wish he wasn't so far away, I am so thankful to how much closer this has brought us.
Do you ladies feel the same way? I really hope so! (it's a wonderful feeling)

Rachel, I do feel the same way! My boyfriend and I  have definitely grown up together. By that I mean, we've been through A LOT of things and have been together through the years where you find who you are and grow up into adults. Like I said, we have been together for over 5 years now & lived together. Brian (my boyfriend) and I are the same age also, both 23, so of couurse girls mature faster than guys do and I'm way more mature than him, haha. But this experience has definitely changed him for the better. He's more mature and sensitive to my feelings, which I love. This whole thing has also kinda rekindled our relationship, and made us both realize things we might have taken advantage of in the past.. something so simple like a phone call. I'm so thankful for this experience and what it has done to Brian and I's relationship. It absolutely has brought us closer, and being together for so long I didn't even know that was possible! Our boyfriends are all men now.. it's pretty amazing

Yes I agree with both Melissa and Rachel... me and my fiance have been together for 4 years we celebrated our anniversary just before he left to camp and we have been through a lot that no one really knows..... and with this experience it has brought us to grow closer to each other more!!! Especially because when we started dated i said I would never be able to be a military wife and that was a big issue but now I will be and I will be 100% supportive and this whole experience is hard but at least we also have each other to rely on! and thats what it makes it just a little bit more easier!

Andrew and me have a young relationship compared to the rest of you!  We've been together 7 months as of tomorrow....so really we're spending almost half of our relationship apart with basic training thrown into this haha.

But, I have to agree...he's grown up a LOT.  I was always the more confident, mature one even though I'm 3 1/2 years younger.  Now I have a confident man on my hands and it is wonderful
