hits the nail on the head.  thats exactly what i think.  but there are people who have had interactive experiences with the paranormal.  could it be that the ghosts they are interacting with are having a paranormal experience of their own in their own dimension...and we are the 'ghost' to them?

Yall are getting too "sciencey" for me to keep up.  Lol!  But I know a tiny tiny bit about string theory and that stuff sounds a little similar.

(Maybe I should just give up and browse the single women at the end of this thread).

I'm not convinced on any of this.  I would need to experience something like this personally before I could buy in.

Yeah.  I see these things on TV but we all have to realize that it can be so easily manipulated, CGI being what it is today.  In addition, many times what is seen on camera may be quite natural phenomena that are just misinterpreted.

This is what I was getting into in the group on myspace about at least in my view the first ghost story. It is a small section in a Sumerian story of Atra Hasis

http://www.webspawner.com/users/mami9/

"Enki responded, “If we use pure clay to make these new creatures, they will be like the animals, without intelligence. To make them capable of bearing the yoke of Enlil, we must slay one of the gods so his flesh and blood can be mixed with the clay to be made into a man. Then what we create will be god and man mixed together.”

The gods seized Geshtu-e, a god of wisdom, and slaughtered him. When his flesh and blood were taken and mixed with the clay, a ghost came into being so that none should ever forget him, or fail to remember that the new creature called man was part mortal and part divine."

This is a more satisfying direction to investigate.  Many so-called "ghostly" encounters maybe actula phyusical phenomena that we aren't physically able to sense directly because of simple biological limitations.  Ror example, birds "see" further into the ultraviolet spectrum than mammals.  Quantum mechanics suggests that there are many more physical dimensions than the 3 we can currently sense.  what if all these paranormal events are merely some sort of "leakage" from the larger unseen and unsensed universe into our limited 3D world?

Nah, It sounded too much like another show trying to cash in on the paranormal craze.  (I guess all of em are).

I love Celebrity Ghost stories though!  Some of those are a little scary!
