Actually, Tony Robinson has done a ton of stuff for the history channel, discovery channel etc in the last few years. You should look them up. One was "the worst jobs in history" (think he did a few series of that), and the latest one is a 5-part history of australia.
'Worst jobs in history" is the last thing I saw by him.
Its fun to see all the old BlackAdder alums in new projects. Robbins in the 'Worst Jobs" show. (I particularly thought the bit where he washed sheets in urine was hilarious!). I've seen Tim McInnerny in a few movies I think. Miranda Richardson (Queenie), playing Rita Skeeter in Harry Potter...also the Apostle, Alice in Wonderland, Sleepy Hollow and Chicken Run. Stephen Fry in Gormenghast, as well as Hitchiker's Guide, Alice in Wonderland, and does a lot of voice work. I think he did the UK version of the audio cd of Harry Potter. And he recently did a travel documentary here in the US that was fun. And of course one of the funniest of the troop was Hugh Laurie! I find it interesting that many MANY American fans of 'House' dont see him as a comic actor and have no idea of his BlackAdder years. Nor 'The Young Ones'. Or 'bit of Fry and Laurie'.
Brian Blessed was one of my favorites, though I do sometimes get him confused with John Ryes Davies. Lol!
Probably one of the most over the top characters was Lord Flasheart (played by Rick Mayall). He and Rowan Atkinson's back and forth verbal sparring was brilliant.
and what...the rest of you may be wondering...does this have to do with gay stuff? Well, at least some of those actors I mentioned are gay. So there's your tie-in to the topic. Lol. |

OFFLINE | lol I just noticed something funny. Technically and I mean very technically gays really do have the same rights as straights. A gay dude can marry a woman, and a straight dude can marry a woman. A gay man cannot marry a man and a straight man cannot marry a man. I guess the law couldn't predict how people are born.
Luckily the law is written by humans and humans can make mistakes. I'm at the point where I don't care if gays get married or not. Eventually gay marriage will be legalized in every state and maybe every country. I decided to stop opposing something that doesn't affect me. |

Bonus points for anyone who can say which ones without using google :-P
Well I already knew about Steven Fry. Not sure about who else though.
Steven Fry cracked me up in 'Blackadder goes forth'. What an insane general. ROFL! |

I firmly believe this is all about money and benefits. If they want to gay it up they can do that all they like in privacy. But now they want taxpayers to give them the benefits one would get out of marriage.
Their excuse is that they were born gay and should have all the rights straight couples have. And since they were born gay, there is nothing wrong with being gay.
Again...here's my question about that:
Some people are born alcoholics. Scientists claim to have found that certain people are predisposed to alcoholism.
Some people are born predisposed to become an addict.
And believe it or not, some people may be predisposed to be pedophiles! (At least if you listen to scientists).
But does anyone think it should be ok to be a ****?
Is it ok for pedos to be free to go anywhere they like, including kid's groups or schools?
Of course not. Just because people have different urges or leanings doesnt mean its ok. Civilized man strives to overcome these things.
Gay people dont want to do this though. Especially when they stand to make a buck through the legal system (ie...inheritance, taxes, insurance breaks, etc). |
