I still believe that some of their songs have lyrics that draw on emotions and beliefs of the lyricists, things that are created by experience.

I Know that if the song is not based on their life, the songwriter writes about something that he heard or be told. Anyway you got to be emotinal about your song or you gonna write garbage

That's true, no one get's their ideas out of nowhere, but the notion of "experience" implies to have "lived" the story and not read or heard about it....
and, unfortunatel, lots of garbage has been written and, I fear, will be written
