I still have my Canon A1 and AE1- they are about 35 years old..... but it's a pain to get film developed.... I do my own black and white but I have to send colored out.... digital is so much easier... just download....

and it is my little $80 Kodak that takes most of my pictures. It is sturdy! It's been with me on the 4 wheelers, on horseback.... you can't hurt it!

My Nick develops his own black and whites ... he always plans a lunch with one of his photography professors at the local college when he's in KC, and gets use of the lab for a couple hours ... he really loves the process of it but seems to be getting sensitive to the chemicals so not sure how much longer he'll be able to do it.  I always get Kodak Easyshares for Jess as she's incredibly hard on them ... they are little tanks.

Bryan has a Canon EOS Rebel he bought about 6 months before I bought my Sony. It takes great pics too, but I like my Sony better, so does Bryan.   We both are into photography & love going out on photoshoots together.

I've admired your photos for years, Becky ...

I bought myself a Canon Powershot SX130 IS last Christmas - 12 megapixels with a 12x optical zoom.

Takes awesome pictures... These two I took today at Falls Mill, TN, which was built in 1873 as a cotton and woolen factory, but today the water wheel powers millstones that grind cornmeal, flour, and grits.

Awesome Cam! The 12mp caught my attention and I was wondering how big the file sizes tend to be?

Great shots, Bob ... I'm going to take my cam out with me today while I run myself and kidlets about.  Hopefully will have some to post this evening.

Since I've got my Fed tax returns back, I've been considering a new digicam, but then I'd also like a newer Digivideocam. And since videocams also take pics, I'm torn between which one would be most favorable to go with.

It's good enough for me.  I originally bought this as a graduation gift for my daughter but since then she's saved enough to buy herself a really good Nikon camera.  Don't know the model though....

12.1-megapixel effective recording
12X optical zoom (4X digital/48X total zoom)

Here's a macro picture I took with it:

Ok so the Nikon Coolpix L110 is going back ... I love the actual look and feel of the camera but the pictures suck !  Very blurry and get worse when you use the zoom.  Had a friend who dabbles in photography take a look at it and he agreed, not worth the money.  I've gotten better pics off my old Kodak that cost me less than $100.

We looked around, did some compares, read reviews and I've decided to order the Canon PowerShot SX210IS 14.1 MP.  Stay tuned ...

Here are my three. Taken with my webcam so it is not the best picture. From left to right:

First, Casio QV770 - 350,000 pixels, Fixed focus, 4mb internal memory, 10 sec self timer, Video Resolution 640X480 AVI. No memory card slot. Lens can rotate up or down 180 degrees to take a picture of yourself while looking at the view screen, you can see I tilted the lens in the picture. This was a gift, my very first digital. Takes great pictures Use it for everyday pictures.

Next, Polaroid PDC5070 - 5.1 megapixel, 4X zoom, 16 mb internal memory, 10 sec self timer, Video Resolutions 320X240 • 640X480 (VGA) AVI 20fps. Memory card slot. I purchased this one to takes better pictures use mainly for pictures of my gardens.

Finally, Canon Powershot A470 - 7.1 megapixel, 14X zoom, No internal memory, 10 sec self timer, Video Resolution 640x480, 20 fps AVI, Memory card slot. Was a gift, takes really great pictures but is not compatible with my older computer so I had to do a little creative programming to be able to download.

Out of all three I still prefer the Casio for feel in my hand, pictures and flexibility of use.
