Chapter 5-8:

Chapter 5:  I was immediately concerned for Maggie and "the smell" that Will smelled. I kept asking why he wasn't doing more? I wanted to get up and tell Maggie, to tell Jim, something was wrong. This was a real struggle for me. I just felt this was going to end badly.

Into Chapter 6:
I find it interesting that Harry says, "You've got a hell of a lot of faith in God and the government." "Gov't just a bunch of people like you and me" this is so true, it comes down to individual people. But Iris thinks so much of "People at the top" "People who pay attention, - who's job it is." people who know more than she does to make such big decisions. This alarmed me. It just felt like someone leading the blind to the slaughter just because they were uneducated about facts, figures, and what truths are really being decided on. Not a whole lot different from today. People so often don't want to get involved in politics and think that others know better...
