Winter 1941 Chapter 10:

Harry is sitting at the top of the town over looking the bluff looking for German Subs. He really believes he will see them come in, if not today, then in the coming weeks. Did you feel the people mocking him for sitting there keeping watch were mean? Were they just making conversation, or were they more of the small town finger pointer and talkers? Or did these boys think that - like they said, "But not this time, Not 1941". What a 'modern day thought' huh?

Harry wants the flagpole lowered to not give the town's location away to the enemy he believes is on the way. Iris tells him the post office inspector is taking it under consideration. Do you think Harry will get his request to lower the pole? Why do you think Iris asked for Harry? Was it a matter of romance that made her ask for him, or is she also worried about the enemy using "her" flag pole?

In the end did the letter given to Iris by her doctor make any difference to Harry?
