word. it's one of my favorite albums. surprisingly, that R.E.M. album is excellent, much different than all their other stuff which I'm not much of a fan of. this album is dark with really trippy riffs and i hadn't listened to it in years and still really dig it.

I think it has more substance and maturity.  Plus you can hear Warrel Danes style morphing into what it would eventually become his melodic phrasing in nevermore.
