I've not seen it yet, I'm not sure If I'm going to. All my friends are like "It's amazing" & all the reviews are good, I don't think I've seen one bad review, so It must be good!

I liked it, and I know that there is going to be a second one, so I'm waiting for that to come out now.

Severely overrated. It was nice to look at, and okay for one watch, but the story is something that I could very easily just not give a damn about instantly after watching it.

6-7/10.

My favorite movie of all time. Seeing it in IMAX probably had a lot to do with that as the amazing immersion that IMAX 3D provided brought me into the world and story like no movie has before. After the movie was over and you took off the glasses it felt like you were in a completely different world. Craziness.

The movie looks amazing on BluRay as well.

The story is cliched in many places, though it does bring many new things to the table. Stories like these are my favorite i.e. The Last Samurai, Dances With Wolves.

I have to wonder though, since when did 'classic story' become 'overrated cliche'. Stories like these have been told since history started being recorded. No story you find will ever be 100% original so hating on something like that purely for that reason seems dumb to me.

I'm not asking for 100% originality. I just want a story that's actually interesting. This just wasn't interesting enough for me to give it a "BEST FILM EVURRRRR" rating.

Sorry, my comment wasn't directed toward you lol, I didn't read yours until after I posted. I can see how it looks like I was referring directly to your comment though lol.

Well, to me the story was interesting, but like I said, stories like these are my favorite and Avatar combined all of my favorite aspects of movies into one epic movie.

We just got a new tv, and a blue ray, and then borrowed this movie from a friend.  I thought the graphics were awesome.  Good movie.  2 thumbs up.

I agree. A big shiny ball surrounding an ordinary plot with sub-par acting. The only believable one is Sigourney Weaver, the rest might as well have been made of cardboard.
