FINALLY!!!!!!! Of course I am smiling from ear to ear right now!!!!!!! Two letters in the mailbox today!!!! I know that is is going to have to tie me over until next week I'm sure.......But I am extrememly happy to have gotten some.......According to Marquis Plt. 2166 WON Initital Drill and because of that they will be able to stay at CP for an extra week.......I am not sure what drill he is referring to so I did ask him about it.....wether or not it was PFT, or SDI Inspection or what as I was a little confused on that one......so if my calcualtions are right per Marquis letter they won't be headed back to MCRD until June 12th.......they will be spending their TEAM WEEK/INTERIOR GUARD there at CP......He says that they got to fire their rifles once last week and that this whole week they would be firing as well.....He said that they have knocked out two of the three humps/hikes that they have to do with the 8 mile one still remaining this Saturday!!! He says that they aren't too bad but he is in the back and has to run for most of it but still manages to make it and even help some of the other recruits that fall......CP is pretty relaxed and they don't have their DI's there as often...mostly just the Marksman Coaches.....He says that their barracks are literally right by the freeway so he hears and see's the cars going by all the time......He says that the chow at CP is much better but still can't wait to eat at every place possible on the way home.......Both of these letters talked about food so much....::.....he has even given me a list of food he wants to have when he is home!!!!! :: He says it is very hard to write while at CP as they hardly have any down time at all.......so ladies be prepared for that one......we might only be getting one or two letters a week or every other week until they go back to MCRD.......GRRRRRRRRRR Marquis seems as if he is doing well....He says that they still have their entire platoon and noone has dropped out.....He is hoping that it stays that way!!!! So as far as I can tell Plt. 2166 is kicking some major ass and doing great!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!~ I hope you are all having a great day today and I also hope that you all got MAIL!!!!!!!!!!! This just made my day! I unfortunately did not receive any mail today but I'm so very happy that you did! We all get to live vicariously through the ones who do get mail haha
I'm SO excited that our guys get to spend their team week at CP, I heard via a YouTube video that it's really enjoyable, as the Marine in the video said his Plt also got to stay for the week while the others left. I absolutely love that Plt 2166 is kicking ass, it must make them feel so great knowing they're the best of the best :]]
I also think it's hilarious how much Marquis talks about food and even has a list of food he wants his momma to cook! That's priceless haha speaking of food I need to go grocery shopping! Brenda, hopefully the fact that Marquis has time to write means you'll get something soon from Aaron, I'll have my fingers crossed for you! I'll talk to you ladies later, have a great rest of the day! :]

Amanda I am sorry that no letter came for you today....but I just know that you have one coming!!!!!!! I can feel it......... Yes it is freakin hilarious that in the last 4 or 5 letters that I have gotten from Marquis he has talked about Food, Food, Food oh yea and FOOD!!!!!!!!!! I want to hear about the other stuff too!!!!!!! ::.......You know what I am going to do......Tomorrow morning I am going to write his letter and at the top of the page it is going to say in really BOLD letters HINT! HINT! HINT! HINT! And it is going to be a letter of JUST QUESTIONS and I am going to leave a space for him to answer them all......and then I am going to tell him to send it back to me........And nothing else in the letter...THATS IT.....oh ok well I ight say I love you....::......Maybe that way he will see that I would really like the answers to some of my questions!!!!! You are sooo smart Apryl!!! That is a great idea about asking nothing but questions and have him fill in the blanks!! I'm going to do that as well! If you haven't sent your letter off yet, ask Marquis what the guys call Aaron, aka nickname! Aaron never answer that question. I'm so glad you got letters! I did not get anything nor did Megan. I'm praying today or Fri. When Aaron writes on a Sun and it post Mon, I get it by Fri. Hope you get something too Amanda. I'm keeping my fingers crossed as well. You ladies have an awesome day!!!

Im sorry no letter for you Brenda!!!!! I will most definitely ask Marquis what Aaron's nickname is at BC.........We will see if this techinque of mine is going to work!!!!!!!! ::..........OH....and BTW........Timmy read the letters that Marquis sent and he says he thinks the DRILL that they won was in SWIMMING!!!!! We have a hard time reading Marquis' writing as it truly looks like "chicken scratch"..........I swear he could have been a doctor!!!!!!!!!!! So I already asked that question in my responce yesterday but will put it out there again with regards to Swimming.......I hope you ALL have a wonderful day and that you ALL get some letters!!!!!!!!!!!
