OFFLINE | Christina Aguilera's moment in time with the Superbowl was an insult to the American Athem...Am sorry for things do happen but she to me is right up there with Rosanne barns...What an insult!!!!!!!!!
I know shame on me for I do know things happen but WOW...WHY...
And am tired of hearing excusses in regards to her for she missed up and needs to take responsibilty of it and go forward... |

 OFFLINE |
There have been times when I've been in a lecture and all of a sudden ... zoom ... my mind goes blank right in the middle of a thought. It's not a fun feeling.
So I could be wrong but I don't think she did it on purpose. It looked to me like she just flubbed it and tried to recover as best as she could.

OFFLINE | I found it a poor rendition and people make mistakes
but to compare a simple football game to Martin Luther King's dream... now that was insulting! |

OFFLINE | Because it happens. Yep, Christina has probably sang the anthem hundreds of times during her career. I believe she simply had a horrible brain fart at the worst possible time ... happens ! Even entertainers get nervous I seriously doubt she did it on purpose ... it was just a very unfortunate slip on her part. She did, however recover like a pro. The sound in that sort of atmosphere is difficult at best. (Just look at the Black Eyes Peas ... Eek !).
I guess maybe next time, they should pre-record it and have the artist lip syn and then have everyone complain about that.
Unfortunate ... but WOW, what a game ! |

No I dont feel she did it on purpose.....But she had an ear piece in for such mishaps...My impression was that she was in the moment of herself more than the song and the fans......
I meant no wrong as an insult to her...It was a moment in time that shouldnt have happen though it did...
At the begining of her singing it felt as if something was going to go wrong
Now the young lady who sung "America The Beautiful" was awesome, singing it the way it was to be sung with heart felt emotions..
Just my thoughts

exactly. this is what happens when people try to diva up the anthem, and make it all stylized. it's the anthem, it doesn't need a remix. i think it was all the extra notes and getting off tempo that screwed her up. but, i'm not her, so i dunno. |

OFFLINE | I honestly don't like most versions of The Star Mangled Banner anymore because it seems that all most vocalists do is demonstrate an exercise in hyperexcessive vibrato which is nothing more than distracting to me. |
