hey guys - for those who are contemplating working together on your final exams, i strongly advise not doing so.

if two people happen to have the same perspective / analysis, they're going to need to defend it. against zisser.

zisser's not very tolerant of anything she suspects as plagiarism.

once you've gotten an answer from someone that gives you a direction you will probably find it quite difficult to change direction - it's much better if you don't bring anyone else's preconceptions / misunderstandings into your paper.

having said that, there are some questions which are more than alright to ask. that's what this topic is for.

user discretion is advised.

I think it'll be best if we ask our questions BEFORE the 27th, and make sure we have everything understood, and then do our own work. Personally, I'm going to keep away from this particular part of the forum until I hand in my exam.

By the way this reminds me, somewhat off-topic but still vaguely in topic. I heard from Maya who actually stuck around to the end of the TA's lesson-disgrace on Wednesday that they said we need to come to the university to physically get our exam - it's not going to be e-mailed to us, or uploaded to the virtual. Can anyone confirm that? It's not that I don't believe Maya, I just want to make absolutely sure she understood correctly. If no one can confirm before Sunday, I'll e-mail the TA. But I'd rather not.

my advice is to write your paper, THEN use the forum to verify bits that you aren't sure of. and verify that you're in the right direction. no guarantees of assistance, but i'm most certainly not handing anything in that hasn't been seen by another set of eyes. that speaks english well enough  to spot horrific misunderstandings that the spell-checker can't help with.

he hinted.
