OFFLINE | I've had my Bryton Rider 50 for 3 months now. I'm in the UK. My machine had Navteq HD maps of UK & Ireland preloaded. Generally happy with Rider 50 and Bryton Bridge software, but I think the trip planning software could be improved by allowing you to edit your routes after you've saved them. At the moment, if a planned trip has an error, all you can do is delete the trip and start again.
I also think that it should be possible to have an OpenCycleMap option in addition to Map, Satellite, Hybrid and Terrain. This would be very useful for planning a cycle trip
My favourite site for creating GPX cycle routes is http://www.bikemap.net/. This site allows you to add and/or delete waypoints to your saved collection of routes, excellent for creating long routes. It has OpenCycle Map and OpenStreet Map options. The GPX files generated by this site work on Rider 50, but there are only start and finish points. Is there a way of converting a standard GPX file into a Bryton-like GPX file ie a GPX file with text directions, waypoints/trackpoints along the route (what's the difference between a waypoint and a trackpoint?), distance, altitude & slope. Perhaps a clever Rider 50 user has written a utility to do this?
My main question is: Will the next update of Bryton Bridge allow you to edit your planned trips?
