OFFLINE | For me it was the Sex Pistols in the 80's. Everyone was going away from punk, and getting into other music. Punk tapes and records were cheap, and I needed some music. So I gave the pistols a shot, and the rest as they say is history. Still one of my favorite punk bands to this day. |

OFFLINE | Green Day when I was a kid. After that phase, and not having liked any punk for a while, I got into Nausea as a teenager and my tastes in punk proliferated from there. |

OFFLINE | I don't remember what was first, but there was Sex Pistols, Ramones, Dead Milkmen, Dead Kennedy's, and Samhain & Misfits (back then they were skater music, which was punk music...don't worry, I know. I've come to realize no one considers them punk anymore). My friend was into more punk than metal and I was opposite of her, so we listened to each other's **** a lot. Probably part of the reason why I love thrash bands the most, because it's the genre of metal that melds the two the best. |

OFFLINE | Well it's like Heavy Meal, some of the bands in the early days that were metal at the time like Quiet Riot and Motley Crue, were metal at the time, but now are just Hard Rock. Same with Punk, what was once Punk is now just considered rock. But we know the truth. |

OFFLINE | I have always liked The Clash even if they turned more and more into a rock in their later albums. |

OFFLINE | I used to like Green Day when I was around 7-8, then discovered The Clash, Ramones, and Sex Pistols in my early teens, eventually moving on to crossover bands in my late teens and post-punk in my twenties. |

OFFLINE | When I was about 7 or 8 Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes by AFI was the first 'punk' album I remember hearing and liking. Black Sails In The Sunset was awesome too.
They have gone downhill a lot since then.
Not much into punk nowadays, though there are a couple '****' bands that I wouldn't mind listening to.

Yeah, getting petrified is pretty much the worst thing that can happen to a band. |
